Names for a Labrador Puppy

We are hopefully getting a Labrador puppy around Easter time. It will be black or brown, male or female as we haven't stipulated a preference.

It's a way off but move had a shit evening so need some cheering up.

Names in the offing so far.....

Boys:
Buzz
Eddie
Rodney

Girls:
Jem
Emmie

Any thoughts on these names and suggestions for others would be graciously received.

Well my two current favourites are olive and Mabel. I love granny names for dogs! Or grandad names.

We’re on the waiting list for a puppy (should be in the summer all being well). We’ve got Milo for a boy, Meg or Chloe for a girl so far. Not sure that I like any of them now I’ve written them down not helpful sorry!

Very exciting! DH claims I have odd taste in dog names (he lies!) but most of his come from Batman/DC . I would suggest:

Ras (as in Raa Al Ghul, DH suggested this for PolePup )

My two previous dogs (Great Pyrs) were Victor and Logan (RIP ) their names - DH`s suggestions . Current PoleDog and PolePup have more run of the mill names!

I don`t live in the UK anymore, but my grandmother used to call a vagina a tuppence, might be a regional thing though?

You haven't asked but I have found the Dog Training Advice and Support Facebook group brilliant for help. It isn't a discussion group, there are units of information you read and the puppy unit has proved invaluable help so far.

There are 6 of us with our own choices of names so to make sure it was fair we drew the name out of a hat.

Bobbie for a girl

I do like Bobby but our friend’s son has the same name.

Getting 4 people to agree on a name is extremely difficult too. I might have to make an executive decision as I’ll be spending the most time with him/her.

DD thinks Sally is a hilarious name for a dog, I’m not sure why.
I quite like it.
