Easy right?

Guess mine, rare breed, long hair, big head, tiny legs. Grin I'll post a picture of him if you guess it (actually even if you don't as I love posting pictures of him).

@CandyLeBonBon

Ball chasing, highly strung, annoyingly clever worrier, who understands every word I say and follows me everywhere

@BlackAmericanoNoSugar is yours a dandy dinmont (sorry for the spelling as I'm sure that's not correct!) or a corgi?

rooarsome · 28/09/2020 12:03

@Trinacham St Bernard 😊

Pelleas · 28/09/2020 12:18

@BlackAmericanoNoSugar A Chinese Crested?

Mine (sadly no longer with us but miss him every day) had melting chocolate eyes, an aristocratic face and, plume for a tail and feathers that were always getting seeds stuck in them. Happily switched between being a couch potato and going for all day walks with us. Sweet natured, subservient to his feline overlords (as we all are!) and in his 14 years of life was never once aggressive.

hopeforlucky3 · 28/09/2020 12:20

@Pelleas saluki?

Mines is hyperactive, very sociable, doesn't bark (unless the door goes), scared of cats.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 28/09/2020 12:21

No to the guesses so far. A further hint, he's a native Irish breed.

combatbarbie · 28/09/2020 12:23

Mine is cheeky, placid and a cuddler. Has short bursts of prancing about like bambi on ice which to an outsider could look aggressive and loves to bask in the sun. Both the prancing and basking are part of his heritage though.

Pelleas · 28/09/2020 12:24

@BlackAmericanoNoSugar Oooh, is he a Kerry Blue? I love those!

Mine isn't a Saluki - much smaller than that.

Pelleas · 28/09/2020 12:25

@hopeforlucky3 Chihuaha?

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 28/09/2020 12:27

Not a Kerry Blue either. Rarer than that.

hopeforlucky3 · 28/09/2020 12:27

@Pelleas a Chinese created or afghan hound?

hopeforlucky3 · 28/09/2020 12:28

@Pelleas nope not a Chihuahua.

He can go all day, has very high stamina, mostly white in colour, medium sized.

Pelleas · 28/09/2020 12:34

@BlackAmericanoNoSugar Glen of Imaal Terrier?
@hopeforlucky3 Dalmatian?
@combatbarbie Standard poodle

No to Chinese Crested/Afghan for mine.

He had a red and white coat which is the most popular of 4 official coat patterns for the breed and the coat pattern has the same name as a famous building in Oxfordshire.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 28/09/2020 12:35

Yes @Pelleas. Here he is.

Describe your dog and let us guess the breed.
Pelleas · 28/09/2020 12:37

He's gorgeous - what a cute face! I don't think I've ever seen a Glen of Imaal in real life, only ever on Crufts. I bet he gets loads of attention when you take him out.

susandelgado · 28/09/2020 12:38

I have three . They have short legs and are ferocious hunters ( not joking)!

combatbarbie · 28/09/2020 12:40

@Pelleas 😂 sadly not. Although part of his hair is his trademark for the breed 👌

pandafunfactory · 28/09/2020 12:42

@Alfr Afghan?

Pelleas · 28/09/2020 12:43

@combatbarbie Is he a curly coated retriever?

Thanks Pelleas. Most people assume that he's a cross breed of some sort as they're not common, even though we're in Ireland. We did meet another glen in the park one day, which was very exciting for all involved, canine and human.
Pelleas · 28/09/2020 12:44

@susandelgado Miniature Dacshunds?

combatbarbie · 28/09/2020 12:46

@Pelleas, nope.... Hair isn't long enough to curl

thesecangettofuck · 28/09/2020 12:50

Just an absolute lemon really.

No sense of space or awareness of his body. Completely daft. Snores in his sleep. Runs in circles. Trips over his lead constantly. Scared of his own shadow.

Can catch food if you throw it to him however.
