@Darklane Shih Tzu?
No

Darklane · 08/10/2020 16:41
@tangledtresses I think yours may be the same as mine...

Tall, dark and handsome. So clingy that I haven't been to the toilet alone in years. People cross the street to avoid us not knowing that these are the soppiest dogs in the world - try to hurt me though and you'll probably get your throat ripped out. No-one will break in our house either. Recall and escaping are not a problem because they never want to leave your side.
Rottweiler?

52andblue · 08/10/2020 16:44

Oooh, no, not a Bedlington.
She's a golden doodle, apparently (rescue) - a mix of standard poodle (elegant, curly, friendly, sofas) and golden retriever (fast, naughty, dim)

My two kids have ASD (teens): both very reserved. They were quietly apprehensive to start with (getting over the last much loved rescue, a crazy Basset hound) but now they adore her. She's an absolute gem :)

CarolVordermansBum · 08/10/2020 16:55

Mine is absolutely OBSESSED with his ball, he could play fetch for hours. He knows a wide range of tricks, and he is very intelligent. His favourite games are 'find it' and football. He's a brilliant goalie! He is very sociable and loves to play with other dogs, and he adores kids.

Any guesses?

Haybo26 · 08/10/2020 16:57

Thinks he's the boss of the house. Incredibly smart. Weighs less than my son when born. Very stubborn and everything is on his terms.

CarolVordermansBum · 08/10/2020 16:58

@Haybo26 Toy poodle?

Thighdentitycrisis · 08/10/2020 17:12

@cheesecrack
Whippet or Greyhound for sure

Jack Russell?
Darklane · 08/10/2020 17:48

@Darklane

Mine’s longer than she’s tall. Blonde hair that reaches the ground. Adores only me & sits quietly in the corner glaring daggers at any visitors
Not any of the guesses so far which were:-

Afghan Hound
Lhasa Apso
Long Haired Dachshund
Havanese
Shin Tzu

Have I got you stumped? Grin

She’s a recognised KC breed, has won at Championship Shows, not a new one like Labradoodles

CarolVordermansBum · 08/10/2020 17:53

@Darklane not a Staffie.

Is yours a golden retriever?

Darklane · 08/10/2020 17:54

No not a Goldie.

Another clue she’s a native British breed

hopeforlucky3 · 08/10/2020 17:58

@Darklane cocker spaniel?

hopeforlucky3 · 08/10/2020 18:01

I asked because the characteristics are the same as my aunties dog and she has a Bedlington x whippet. Pic please Smile
Pelleas · 08/10/2020 18:02

@Darklane Setter?

hopeforlucky3 · 08/10/2020 18:03

@CarolVordermansBum is yours a Labrador?

Darklane · 08/10/2020 18:07

No not a cocker spaniel.

Think it’s getting too hard now so another clue.

On the At Risk Native British Breeds List for years. One year puppies born to one of mine were part of only a handful registered that year at the Kennel Club whereas Labradors can be in the thousands.

Norwich terrier? Lol this is the most difficult one yet Confused
hopeforlucky3 · 08/10/2020 18:12

@Darklane or clumber spaniel?

CarolVordermansBum · 08/10/2020 18:15

Mines not a labrador @cheesecrack

Another clue, he's a working breed

CarolVordermansBum · 08/10/2020 18:16

@hopeforlucky3 not cheesecrack sorry

CarolVordermansBum · 08/10/2020 18:17

@Darklane is yours a leonberger?

Darklane · 08/10/2020 18:20

No, not

Leonberger
Clumber Spaniel
Norwich Terrier
Grin

Just to remind you she is very long with very short legs

TheoneandObi · 08/10/2020 18:22

Mine has impressive walkies recall but is a stubborn b@gger at home

Darklane · 08/10/2020 18:23

Out & about people are forever stopping me to ask the breed as they don’t recognise it! But then add that they are very, very gorgeous & glamourous, meanwhile she’s cursing & swearing at them cos , as I said, they really, really do not like strangers. [ grin]
