Would you let your dog pee on other people's plants and grass ?

We live in a new estate where the houses' gardens at the front are open - no fences - grass and then your border with plants against the wall of your house . It seems that some people think it is OK to walk their dog on these extendable leads and let it pee on people's plants and grass . I can possibly see the grass bit at a push but the plants against the wall of the house ? People pay for these themselves and maintain them . There are several dog friendly areas where they could do this and all very close . I have seen these nice cast iron signs with a dog peeing and the word No on it . What are your thoughts about seeing something like this in someone's plants - would it possibly make you even more determined to let your dog pee ?

Having just watched that to the end, I actually wouldn’t use puppy pads myself. I tend to just be with them 24/7 and take them out regularly until they get it. I’m not keen on puppy pads.

As a dog owner I think it's disgusting people let their dogs do this. You can see plants dying along the edge of people's gardens.

Another horrid thing that some let their dogs do where I live is let them pee on rubbish bags and recycling that's put out. The poor bin men have to pick it up to throw it in the lorry and the poor people whose recycling bins they are have dried pee on their bins.

I had one bloke who not only let his dog wee - he would happily stand there and watch his dog trample over my plants too...
Until the day I'd had enough and opened the window and said 'would you mind not letting your dog piss all over my plants?'
He gave me a filthy look, but now walks the dog in the other side of the path (it's wide). Grin
I am a dog lover, BTW, I just can't see why people would think it's ok.

Thanks again - I'm glad that it's just not me being uptight about this . I have on one occasion seen a poor dog getting dragged along one leg in the air - owner not paying attention.

Same happens round here, also a newish estate with unfenced front gardens. It caused a big row on our local FB page when someone allowed their dog to poop in the middle of someone else's new fake grass front garden - the garden owner was furious, the dog owner thought it was perfectly ok as they'd picked it up and couldn't see what all the fuss was about. I regularly see people allowing their dogs to walk all over everyone's gardens and stop for a pee. It doesn't really bother me tbh but I can totally see why it would upset someone.

As a dog owner, it's not hard if you have a proper lead on to stop your dog walking on other people's gardens, so the issue shouldn't really occur. Its flexi leads that are the main problem, especially coupled with an owner that lets the dog walk wherever it wants, or just isn't watching the dog at all.

Absolutely no way would I allow my dog to pee on someone else's grass.

I own three currently, and have had up to 11 at one point, and if I can prevent it so can every other owner - just walk them on the opposite side of you and take your nose out of your damn phone.

Pee not so much an issue but shit gets my goat and I want to find the person who's dog has shit up my wall, it's puzzling that a dog is capable of the piece of art outside mind tonight Confused

I have a dog and pees in my garden. I have observed that some shrubs are pee proof. Chief among them is Daphne which also happens to be attractive, evergreen and smells divine in January and February. Could you put some of this in? It's a lovely addition to a garden
