What type of dog do you think this is?

We were told our 12 week old puppy Ozzy was a pomapoo (Pomeranian cross with miniature poodle) but now we aren't so sure. Everyone says he looks a border collie but he's too small to be that. The vet says that he doesn't look like a Pomeranian or a poodle. We've looked at other photos of pomapoos and some do look similar to him. We're planning on doing a dog DNA test in the near future. I'd be interested to know what people think
Thanks

Yes I would guess jack Russel X collie too, that's what mine is and he has the exact same fluffy ears and snout shape.

I think King Charles/Jackrussel. I’m going by the KC and JR I have on my books (dog sitter) Though I could be completely wrong! Grin

I'd say jack Russel, Yorkie/pomeranian , definitely dnt see poodle in him. Has a snout like a pomeranian. I even think he may have more than 2 breeds in him x

I'd guess Jack Russell x Collie. Very cute, enjoy!

Sorry, ment to say his tail seems too thick for pomeranian, seems like a jackies tail and looks like his fur is the same texture as a jacks. What it like? X

I'm just interested to know what breeds he has in him so then I can get to know him even more. He's so sweet, always wanting to give kisses, he's good at going to the toilet and listens when we tell him no

I just googled too and there is a Pomeranian cross Poodle adult that looks just like your pup so I would go for Pomeranian cross Poodle!

I think he looks like a king Charles x collie maybe with a couple of other breeds in there for good measure! He's gorgeous.

That facial colouring isn't typical of either poms or poodles.

Awwww how lovely. Sounds like he’s settling in well. Not sure I could say no to that little face!

I’d agree with the collie bit of the mix but whatever he is he is bloody gorgeous!

Right let's just get this straight he is from a reputable rescue ( I'm not saying where as it is near to where I live and I don't want to give out that sort of detail.)
Breeds are actually quite important as not only do they help with feeding (as certain foods go on estimated adult weight) but more importantly if there is any disposition for certain medical conditions so we know if there is anything we need to keep an eye out for.

I absolutely agree which is why i’ve Asked for his history and information relating to why he ended up in rescue (not your location or which rescue it was Confused) That’s more likely to give better information as to what breed he is than randoms guessing on the Internet...

What a beautiful puppy! I immediately thought some sort of collie cross. But I have seen cavaliers with similar markings. Either way he's absolutely gorgeous!
