My dog isn't coping and refuses to be anywhere (ie indoors) where we aren't. So I'm after ideas of how you're helping your dogs please!

It hit 50 degrees here this week.

DWoofs aren't happy. The old man, who is awesome at bladder control, won't pee anywhere but HIS bush, but grumbles of left more than 4 hours between visits to said bush in the day. The bush takes about 300m of pavement to get to. He won't pee in the garden. We have no choice but to take him down there so he goes at around 11am, around 3pm, and then proper walks at 7am and 7pm, with a night pee trip at 10 or 11pm ish. He hates every second of it though until he gets to the bush.

Old lady dog hates it for different reasons. She sunbathes all day (plenty of shade around, door wide open to the AC, water bowl outside - she chooses to ignore it all). If we bring her in, she whimpers to go back out. She hates walking in it, and will happily pee in the garden if it means not going anywhere proper. The reason she hates it? We shut her in between the 11am and 3pm walkies. she sits at the patio door, looking really sad that she's not outside.

We're in the US, so it gets really, really hot in the summer. We run the air conditioning at a balmy 22C all day - even when we're out so they don't overheat. They're so spoiled Grin
