Seriously. She's 13 weeks. She was sold as a girl. But she kind of has a bit of a micropenis. I've never had a bitch before and don't know if its normal, puppy hormones or something??

Hmmmmm its a tricky one but I would say girl too.

We have a girl dog who spent the first few weeks with us under the pretence of being of a boy.

We didn't have the heart to change the name once we knew and she doesn't mind one single bit being called Brian now Grin

AlpacaLypse · 31/10/2014 15:33

Oh that's much more girl position in your second photo!

ifuknow · 31/10/2014 15:33

I'd say a girl too. A boy's bits would be further up his belly.

AlpacaLypse · 31/10/2014 15:33

Grin at Brian seagull !

emotionsecho · 31/10/2014 15:33

If the breeder took her for injections the vet would have confirmed the gender on the paperwork for the injections so I think you can be reassured. I suggested vet check as I wasn't sure if you were taking her for second set of injections or a chip in the very near future, agree paying just for a gender check is nonsensical.

Blistory · 31/10/2014 15:35

Girl. That's her vulva. A penis would be much further forward and would have testicles behind it .

cindydog · 31/10/2014 15:37

girl

VivaLeBeaver · 31/10/2014 15:47

Glad I don't have to change her name or remove her glittery pink collar. Grin

Could we have a picture of her face please?Grin

EdYouKateShaun · 31/10/2014 15:50

Definitely a girl. Is that a hernia near her left back leg?
Easier to see in first pic.

VivaLeBeaver · 31/10/2014 15:50

Cute puppy pics.

Girl.

But I understand your confusion: I'd never had dogs and also assumed my girl was a boy when I first met her and she rolled over so I could rub her belly.

BellaVita · 31/10/2014 15:54

I would say girl..but then again my DB's little (boy - supposedly) dog, his is just the same, but he is still under a year old.

Don't girl puppies have nipples at this age?

BOFster · 31/10/2014 15:54

I had a dog once that I thought was a boy until it came into season Blush. I had been too squeamish to look at its nethers, and I had been to the vet for all its injections and everything, and he didn't contradict me. I did think 'he' had quite a sissy way of weeing though Grin.

FoxgloveFairy · 31/10/2014 15:56

She's a gal!

BellaVita · 31/10/2014 15:56

BOF Grin

When I looked after DB's dog, he squatted to wee rather than cocking his leg.

BellaVita · 31/10/2014 15:58

She is lovely Viva, very cute.

FoxgloveFairy · 31/10/2014 15:58

Dogs are incredble at relaxing aren't they?

CrabbyTheCrabster · 31/10/2014 15:59

Definitely a girl, don't worry. Smile

Is that a hernia near her left back leg?

I thought the same thing looking at that first photo.

emotionsecho · 31/10/2014 16:04

Thanks for the cute puppy pictures Viva, much better she looks adorable.

VivaLeBeaver · 31/10/2014 16:05

I don't know, what does a hernia look like!

SquishSquasherHellHounds · 31/10/2014 16:07

Bella, boy dogs have nipples too.

Is the picture you have posted of your DB's boy dog? Cos it looks like a girl dog. (Unless you've posted as an example of a girl, in which case ignore me :))

All boy dogs squat to wee until they reach sexual maturity

EdYouKateShaun · 31/10/2014 16:10

It's like a bit soft lump. This is my cav's hernia.
The very may be able to deal with it when she is being spayed. I don't think it's a massive issue. But better to know.
