Need name suggestions for a yellow lab to go with the old people's home feel of the rest of the menagerie!

We currently have Dot and Bert the cats and Mabel the black lab.

I want an old lady name for the new puppy but can't come up with anything as pretty as Mabel!

DH likes Betty but I'm not 100% sure.

Give me ideas, please!

My bf's black lab is called Ethel, I named her 12 years ago and she's still going :) It's a fab name.

I LOVE Phyllis, it's a great lab name but I don't think I'm brave enough to shout it at the top of my voice in a field Grin.

Lily and Florence are out as have friends with Dds with those names!

Is it right that you should avoid having the same initial at the beginning as it confuses them? These are labs we're talking about, they're not going to be brains of britain!

Beryl is also a great lab name.

I like Peggy, may have to work on DH though.

Regularly meet another Hetty (cairn terrier) while out walking so probably best not to use that although it's very pretty.

Old lady names are becoming way too popular for babies atm. I know tinies with quite a few of these names and I have a feeling their parents might take exception to theor pfb's name being used for a dog Grin.

Will run all of these past DH in the morning and see what we are left with Hmm fussy bugger.
