@Tilllly I'm really sorry to hear about your troubles, I'm glad @sashh has practical help.
I'm currently whizzing up the country on the train looking at the bare frozen trees and winter greens in the fields. I don't know how to attach photos but I saw a black cat just like the ones in your photos yesterday chilling out on a gravestone. Very Goth.

@Tilllly if your DH / DC can drive this would be useful https://www.motability.co.uk/ . My DM couldn't drive ( never learnt ) but my DD could but dud not have a car so he applied for and got a car. He had quite a few over the years.

My cat likes cat nip for about 10 seconds then gets bored with it.

What wonderful cats, There is a rather large cat tree in the corner for them to enjoy.

And that means o include them in breakfast we should have fish. So kippers, smoked salmon with scrambled egg, kedgeree of course and some Japanese style grilled fish with miso soup.

Florence is making some nice soft bread to dip in the butter from the kippers and Fernando is making mocktails with low lactose milk so the cats can have some of that too.

IRL buy some kippers, they are so easy to cook, get them in a pack with butter. Get a jug/bowl of boiling water and put the packet in for 5 mins.

take out, cut the pack with scissors and pour into a bowl.
