I'm just starting this before the last one fills up.

Morning all , sorry to hear everyone is in pain.
I think we should pipe some nitrous oxide into the cafe , not enough to knock us out , just enough to help everyone relax and numb the aches and pains.

@Tilllly I will take daisy out for a walk around the other threads.
@sashh please can I have roti and curried chickpeas and a hot chocolate with a dash of tea Maria in it when I get back.

I've been away, but I decided to come back for some of the delicious food and drink from the Happy Place.
That tray bake did sound good...sorry I missed it, too @ScottBakula !
I'll have some of that nitrous oxide, too..aches and pains abound.
.It's cold and rainy here, but further north they are getting 12 feet of snow...😲🥶
Just thinking about it brings your delicious hot cocoa to mind @sashh ..may I please have an extra large with whip to go?

Another cold wet day. I think we will relive my camping experiences of my youth so we are having tins for breakfast.

Baked beans, baked beans with sausage, mackerel, sardines, hotdog sausages.

Florence is making a range of breads and toast to go with them and Fernando is making cocktails based o tinned tomato juice.

Please don't do as a school friend of my db did aged about 11. He went 'camping' in a park about a 5 min walk from his house .
He had spent the previous days collecting wood and lit a fire.
He put a tin of ravioli in the fire and a spud both directly in the flames .
The tin exploded and the spud was burnt and raw .
Fortunately nobody was hurt !

Please can I have some bbq beans and fire cooked toast.

I'm not going to cook anything still in the tin - unless it is condensed milk and I'm making banoffee pie.

I'll have anything, I've not eaten since they gave me Rice Krispies at bfast yesterday - even pain doesn't stop my appetite

@sashh I recon if someone was daft enough ( not you of course) to do that Leo would help get the sausages out of the nearby trees.

Look at the time, I managed some sleep for once.

Well I think we need a new pick of Disy so I'll get Florence baking dog biscuits, and possible some lemur biscuits as well.

For the hoominswe can take inspiration from Sweden. So coffee, porridge and crisp breads topped with cold cuts and cucumber and hard boiled eggs with fish roe.

Fernando is obviously serving vodka and Leo appears to be helping tend bar, I hope that's not for the goats.

Coffee and porridge sounds good to me @sashh . Can you make a pack up of crisp bread and cold cuts too please.

Fernando is going to have to keep a close eye on Leo , he looks like he is planing mischief.

I am still at the hospital, they are trying to get the pain under control, but started afresh today - having had the palliative care nurse point out to them, they had me on half the dose that I had been on at home. Obviously hadn't looked at my updated notes. The scan shows the pain is because the cancer has spread to my bones so we will be looking what we can do about that this week.

In the meantime, when I can manage to get on here, and read what you are writing, it makes me smile, even though usually I can't post anything because of the crap signal.

DH told me that Daisy had a mishap today, and when he went to clear it up, he dropped the poo on our bed... happily after nearly 25 years of marriage, he is sufficiently well, trying to understand that the bedding needed changing 🤣🤣🤣

I am missing my little floof ball. I think they might notice if I smuggled her in though.

@Tilllly sorry you are having a rough time.

Could you claim Daisy is training to be an assistance dog?We did that once at uni, someone brought their pet dog in, but as he was deaf we just told security it was a hearing dog.

I think you need an indulgent breakfast so not just coffee and tea on offer but fancy coffees and green, white and black tea some flavoured with raspberry.

And cakes, Florence has been making chocolate eclairs and profiteroles. She has also made coffee cake, walnut cake and chocolate gateaux.

Fernando is making cocktails of course but these are special they will not interfere with your medicine.

I actually think I would consider her an assistance dog as a grown dog, because I would feel confident going places with her, that I wouldn't go on my own now, as I have become quite fearful of being in pain and incapacitated out on my own
But I think it's a more formal thing than that!

Oh thank you!! That's really thoughtful, and will take my mind off the pain while the morphine kicks in

Oh @Tilllly I'm so sorry to hear you aren't doing so good, I'm gonna have a scroll back through and see what's happened! We get so mad at hospitals here when we send patients and they can't get the long release dosage right, or in some cases don't give it at all 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

They're on it now @laughinglovingliving but I've been in unnecessary pain for 3 days and it's delayed palliative care team in setting a baseline pain relief - just read the notes properly, maybe listen to the patient... frustrating but hopefully lesson learned

Oh @Tilllly that really is crap , I am glad it's been picked up now but having to wait three days is not on at all.
I am so sorry that the bastard is spreading , I hope you get 100 % of the best care that's possible.
