Ooh @ScottBakula that's put a smile on my face 😍

ScottBakula · 22/07/2023 18:02

Handsome bugger isn't he 😳

I also love his voice , I could listen to him reading a bus time table but him narrating books on Audible are more interesting. His partnership with writer Jim Butcher on the Dresden Files where James plays wizard Harry Dresden ( absolutely nothing like Harry Potter) imo are good books made all the better by his narration.

His ( now broken up ) band Ghost Of A Robot isn't bad either.

Not that I am obsessed or anything 😜🥰😍

TeamSpike · 22/07/2023 19:54

I think we need a poster of him up in the cafe if that's allowed 😜

I might never leave ! 😆🥰
@sashh would you mind ?

Findyourneutralspace · 23/07/2023 04:06

Morning! Just popping in to shelter from the rain. I’ve left my brolly by the door so as not to drip anywhere.
Neutralcat has followed me in too, but he’ll be no bother. Is there anything I can do to help open up today?

StopStartStop · 23/07/2023 05:04

Awake since 3.30 - think I need a pomegranate cocktail. Or a round with Spike. Morning everyone. @neutral I'll get myself some toast and tea, if that's ok.

sashh · 23/07/2023 05:55

Morning.

<Looks at the Spike shine taking over one wall and adds a pic of Captain John from Torchwood>

Well I'm almost sleeping like a normal person, glad to see you have made yourselves at home.

Lets head to Iceland today, yoghurt with berries, rye bread, oatmeal porridge and obviously tea and coffee.

Florence is making waffles and Fernando is making Brevinnin cocktails.

I actually managed to sleep last night. Now feeling more tired though. Bodies are weird. I'll have some yoghurt and berries and curl up in the corner on a beanbag

sashh · 23/07/2023 09:52

Bodies are indeed weird @TeamSpike would you like a hot chocolate after? Then maybe you can take a nap.

OP posts:
TeamSpike · 23/07/2023 10:06

Oh a hot chocolate would be perfect thank you

TeamSpike · 23/07/2023 21:44

Sorry I'm creeping in early tonight. Can feel my anxiety spiking. Can u recommend anything calming tonight?

StopStartStop · 23/07/2023 22:16

I use carbs for calm but perhaps other people wouldn't recommend that. Comfort food. Buttery toast?

TeamSpike · 23/07/2023 22:29

Yeah maybe tea and toast would do the trick. I'll put the kettle on if anyone wants one

Findyourneutralspace · 23/07/2023 23:44

I’d love a brew @TeamSpike if you’re making. Thanks. I managed to get to sleep at a decent time but woke up after an hour and am raring to go.
Sorry to hear about the anxiety. How about a camomile tea? Perhaps a nice gentle book to read or some relaxing music?
I wonder if there are any board games here. I’d happily play to help keep your mind busy.

StopStartStop · 24/07/2023 00:01

A cup of tea would be lovely.

alienslove · 24/07/2023 04:52

A board game? I'll join?
And I fancy a hot chocolate (with cream and marshmallows of course!!) and some hot buttery toast please after reading a previous post!! Yum

NoTeaNoShade · 24/07/2023 04:55

Count me in for a board game and a hot chocolate if there's space 😀

sashh · 24/07/2023 05:32

Morning.

I see calm is the order of the day so I'll make chamomile tea and ask Florence to make some of her special brownies. I don't know what she puts in them but they do seem to calm people.

Fernando can make some alcoholic hot chocolate.

I'll just put out a selection of hams, cheese and fruit, help yourselves.

OP posts:
Flubadubba · 24/07/2023 05:51

That all sounds fabulous. I'll be in the corner with the tea and brownies, along with a good book.

MinnieMountain · 24/07/2023 07:23

Morning!
Could I have a hot chocolate with Cointreau and a special brownie please?
I need some calm. I’m visiting my dad and he’s being a spectacularly grumpy old fart. I might just hide here for the rest of the week.

TeamSpike · 24/07/2023 07:47

Thank u all for the calm night. Still a bit anxious about going back to work today so I better not have a special brownie.

sashh · 24/07/2023 08:16

@TeamSpike I hope it all goes well.

OP posts:
StopStartStop · 24/07/2023 08:23

Hope it's better than you expect @TeamSpike

StopStartStop · 24/07/2023 08:24

How old is your dad, @MinnieMountain ? Mine is 91. He was very, very grumpy at first (when he clearly needed support) a couple of years ago.
