Freddy was the ultimate performer, totaly ott and wonderful

I bet the rest of the night's progs (haven't checked, so no clue if I'm right!) were ones that were either repeats or easily moved things. This kind of concert ALWAYS overruns.

Swearing aside she's finally got the crowd going at least. I thought she was fantastic, and how hard to have to follow that video - we were all in tears and didn't feel like rocking. Bopping like loons by 'music' though (and a couple of swift glasses of wine).

i looked a tother tv and there is nothing on at all which is good cos more people will watch

Thanks a lot Madonna! First bit of the concert we were watching and in the middle of explaining it all to ds1 (7) and dd(4) and she has to go and swear so blatently. Has now spoilt it for them as they won't be watching any more of it. Last time I'll voice my admiration for her to my children!

My DD(7) was prety shocked at the swearing!

Its the first time I haven't turned the telly over when pictures of the poverty in Africa come on. In a way I think it was good that the DCs saw my reaction to it.

I think it made them understand just how sad it is that children on the other side of the world are dying for want of a bit of food, while they live in the lap of luxury with virtually all they could ever want at their disposal.

It certainly made them stop and think

God knows, perhaps by the time our kids are our ages that this problem has at least partially been eradicated, if not wiped out altogether!

Libb,Gary Lightbody,yes he is rather lovely and floppy haired and gorgeous,and i'm sat here smiling along with him,drooling and forgetting i'm a matronly old mother not a lovely lithe long haired groupie any more!!!!Alananh ,S P have been around a long time and their last album was huge thats why they are there,think they are playing in Scotland too.

Just glad I watched the tennis earlier and the kids are going up to bed now so at least I can enjoy the rest of it, but it truly wasn't necessary - of course there are lots of young children watching - dd loves dancing to things like this. She was saddened by the images though - she was also happy that the little girl who was minutes from death in the clip made it through that time and is all grown up now (slightly hard to explain the 20 year difference though).
