The thing I learned about this is just how ingrained racism is. The only person in the blue eyed group (that we saw) that seemed open to hearing the brown eyed groups point of view was totally against normal stereotype an older lady who knew times had changed and wanted to keep up.
I thought the main problem was that there weren't enough brown eyed people and too many blue eyed. So even though the blue eyed were being picked on by the leader the brown eyed group weren't joining in and really giving the blue eyed's the PoV of what it is like. In fact the blonde teacher was doing exactly what the brown eyed's were supposed to be doing! Constantly interrupting and just not listening to the other side's arguments.
Obviously if the experiment had worked properly the brown eyed's would have had something to learn too in how eagerly they had engaged in racism - but actually it seems to racism in our culture is so ingrained that they weren't ever able to get into a position of being able to 'bully' the other group.
Apparently in the last regard scarletlily was watching a totally different programme to me.
