What i meant was each person is entitled to have their own opinion............. I am sorry to have offended you! Thanks for the support Wintera....I wish I hadnt said anything now! My son has learning disabilities and I have met lots of people with ld so that is what i was basing my opinion on!

DSM · 13/04/2009 23:59

Wintera - that statement isn't offensive, it was the fact that lottie said the man had learning disabilities, and when a few people said that he didn't, she said she thought she did, so 'each to their own'.

It was the fact that she was saying that she considered someone to have learning disabilites, even though he shows no signs of such, that I referred to as offensive.

anniebear · 14/04/2009 08:21

there are a few on these kind of shows that makes me think they have learning difficulties

Its not offensive to say it in the way Lottie said it

I also have a child with special needs. I think you do tend to notice people who may have learning difficulties a little more

dont worry Lottie

anniebear · 14/04/2009 08:26

DSM, you may think he showed no signs of a disability but Lottie did

as I said, when you have a child with special needs you defo notice other people, however mild their disability is.

I would never have noticed before we where hurled into the world of learning difficulties/disability

hope that makes sense

Lottie wasnt being offensive

Thanks annie xx

HedKandi · 18/04/2009 20:11

i am waiting for a friend to audition,

have they done manchester yet?

twinsetandpearls · 18/04/2009 20:23

Am watching tonight am a minute or 2 behind as we paused to make a cup of tea. Those teenage girls were awful.

Am watching someone play a saxaphone now, dont get why people are crying. If anyone has an ounce of talent they go mad.

As a comedy act is wasn't as bad as some we've seen....unfortunately I don't think it was intended as a pure comedy act

twinsetandpearls · 18/04/2009 20:39

Did Simon see the irony in the lowest for of entertainment?

getting back to Lottie's clip - that guy IMO almost certainly had a language impairment and/or auditory processing problem, he couldn't answer Simon's questions correctly.

SlightlyMadStirrup · 18/04/2009 20:47

That was goof - but the changes could do with being a bit smoother...

twinsetandpearls · 18/04/2009 20:49

why does it matter that his mum is a single mum, I hate it when these shows play up for sympathy
