i think daddy will buy dd a restaurant to make up for it.

Stinkyfeet · 11/09/2008 20:56

hopefully she won't let him work in it!

TigerFeet · 11/09/2008 20:58

no surprise there then

god he was useless wasn't he, the dad?

chocolateshoes · 11/09/2008 20:58

Ah! A twist at the end!!

TigerFeet · 11/09/2008 20:59

will not be so previous next time!

Carmenere · 11/09/2008 20:59

How nice of him (and the producers of the show natch)

TigerFeet · 11/09/2008 20:59

perhaps Raymond fancies 'Arriet

expatinscotland · 11/09/2008 21:04

i love the way he says, 'you are in the challenge.'

filthymindedvixen · 11/09/2008 21:07

ds1 and I have just had a major snigger-fest over Raymond's saying ''fight''

''you murst fart for your restron......''

I wonder if arriet and her farther will be talking by next week. What a prat.

MaryAnnSingleton · 11/09/2008 21:38

I used to live v nr the W London one, the Provenance one - I wonder if I'll see anyone I know eating there ?
The dad of 'Arriet is clueless and they're a bit creepy, or at least he is.

ChippyMintonIsOffToBurgerKing · 12/09/2008 12:50

I was thinking, all the restaurant premises are (obviously) ones where previous businesses have failed, so pretty hard for them to make a go of them, especially from scratch. The Provenance one, is it in the new Brentford development?

Wonder why they are not all living together this year?

wannaBe · 12/09/2008 12:52

presumably they're not living together because the restaurants are all so spread out. from bicester to London is quite a long way.

MaryAnnSingleton · 12/09/2008 12:54

yes, it seems to be in the development facing Kew Gardens as opposed to the Lock area in Brentford -from what I recognise

RTKangaMummy · 12/09/2008 13:11

chippy that is not correct

ChippyMintonIsOffToBurgerKing · 12/09/2008 13:15

Ah, you went to one didn't you? What was there before/is there now?

mumblechum · 12/09/2008 13:59

Chippy, the one next to us was always failing before the filming started, had about 2 months of success while filming was on, and is now back to being virtually empty. I suppose they choose those because the contestants really are starting almost from scratch, so any success is on their own merits.

ChippyMintonIsOffToBurgerKing · 12/09/2008 14:14

It is a difficult business to succeed in. I recognised 'Arriet's restaurant - it's down a back street in Oxford and has had countless incarnations over the years.
