I did like the way James A gently supported her when she said she was feeling teary. He just sat and let her talk. Always good to have someone like that around. Even if they are a traitor!

I can’t take to Miranda at all. All that prat falling and galloping about. It just seems so contrived to me!

It’s the kind of outfit she wears to do stand-up. The one time I saw her live, she was wearing a fluorescent pink tracksuit and matching nails, very similar to some of the things she’s worn in the castle. Same reason as the late queen, I imagine — to make her stand out when seen from a distance.

DH’s celebrity crush is Miranda Hart.

After “Big Mix” I turned to him and said “Well, that’s the licence fee justified for you this year” 🤣🤣

Richard Osman said they all have access to personal wardrobe stylists before going to the castle. Some didn’t choose to take it up - presumably Sharon, Miranda, James A whereas Maya, Joanne, James B obv rejoiced in dressing up. I prefer when they dress up personally.

I feel the same. The humour is very basic. But appreciate slapstick has its place and we all like different things.

Agree, I do like Miranda but you can’t compare her to Mrs Browns boys which is abysmal.

In a previous thread about another series, I think people mentioned that they all stay in some hotel near Inverness, and are kept apart the whole time.

As part of the NDAs they sign they obv aren’t allowed to give any spoilers .. but they’re also forbidden to talk about how it is filmed.

I’ve never seen Miranda’s show, and Mrs Brown’s Boys certainly seems abysmal to me, but comedy is pretty subjective. I mean, I have literally never met anyone who admitted to liking MBB, but it kept being renewed for years on good audience viewing figures, so comparatively large numbers of people did like it, apparently! A friend with a spare ticket took me to a Joanne McNally stand-up gig on her current tour, and it just wasn’t my thing, but I was in a huge theatre full of people absolutely splitting their sides.
