@murasaki I will never get over the Shakil knife crime storyline.

I really think although this storyline with Amy and Craig is hard to watch; it’s needed. So far it’s been done quite well. I hope Denzil will be safe though, I do really like him.

They split up because he cheated on her with Sam Mitchell x

I like Denzil too. He hasn’t had it easy , but he has his head screwed on.

What is this "It's dark and dangerous times" nonsense from Ned! He's carrying on like one of those TV American preachers. It's not dark and dangerous it's Walford where there are lots of gay/lesbian/bi people and literally no one cares.

@Alucard55 yes it is so bizarre isn't it, as you say he's like a crazed preacher. How is walking around ten yards from your house dark and dangerous!

Ned has got so unhinged so fast it defies all belief. No one would have their own son beaten up because they don't approve of them being gay. I could believe he'd have his hook-up beaten up. But not his own son.

@Shellingbynight it's mental. There needs to be a twist or something it can't just be that he doesn't like that his son is gay.

Ned is cleariy unhinged. A Machiavellian character.
Agree that Nancy has slotted back into place nicely.
I wonder what became of Tamwar ? I know they split up.

Nancy really has slotted back in so naturally hasn't she. She is a good actress and shows up some of the others.

Ned went from 0 to 100 within ten days, at this rate he will be running amok with a machine gun by Halloween.

Maybe Ned is gun man ? I am leaning towards Kat too.

I wish Nancy can hang around. She does show up others by being natural and embodies the character so much I think she is Nancy !

Yes I agree - Maddy Hill is very natural, talented and has great chemistry with Kellie Bright. Of course she's acting but I never see or feel the acting with her.

Agree Nancy is a good character and very natural (unlike some).

I’m glad that we all love Nancy ! I did before as well. She did her epilepsy scenes well and very feisty.

Apparently she has a conversation with Oscar and somehow from that convo works it all out about Zoe and Max. Oscar knows what happened (think Max confessed to him) so he must let something slip.

I feel like this will be done quite well as they work brilliantly together , it’ll definitely make us laugh as Oscar trips over his words.

Another ex-Hollyoaker, heading our way. Wadey really is just turning EE into HO at this point. I don’t remember much of her character or her acting in HO, I remember her family and a storyline she had but nothing more.

Will Jess get out of a cab and stare wistfully at the b and b ? Or a much bigger dramatic entrance ?

It really does feel like Hollyoaks at the moment.
There is going to be a tipping point where it's no longer worth watching.

I just see it as entertainment and I love this thread , so I’ll stick with it. It is unrealistic and silly and so on, but the acting isn’t too bad and sometimes they do things well ( like Nigel dying ).
Id miss it if it was axed. Makes me wonder how long it can survive!

Two current stories - the grooming of Amy and Kat neglecting her kids and lashing out in grief - ate god, but the writing for the Hawkins characters hasn’t been thought through properly and it’s affecting the show.

I see it as entertainment too - but that depends on it being entertaining.

I also see it as some escapism too.
I agree it’s not always entertaining though.

I am prepared to suspend belief and go with it (like Bianca and her bucket) when it's a character like Bianca. But Ned becoming a super villain within a fortnight... not so much!

I don't have a lot of confidence in this Nancy storyline either, but at least she's very watchable.

Agree with you about Ned ( which as the ‘other thread ‘ pointed out is Den backwards)
I can’t imagine many sisters doing what Nancy is doing either, but she is great and one of the better actors in it atm.
