Bang on with this. I have known a few people like this, but as you say it's usually much younger people. My own DC were like this between 17 and 21. They were unbearable for this when they were at University, and so were a number of other young people I knew. As you say though, they've normally passed this stage by about 25. I do meet the odd person like this who is a bit older, but it's rare. What is Twinks, like 40-42? I would find her insufferable if she was someone I knew in real life.

All she does is bang on and on about how right-on she is, and how righteous she is, and how she soooo down with the gays and the transfolk. Philip didn't look impressed!. And you're right, she does make it her whole personality. Bit like (some) vegans. As I said, I bet she is a Green Party supporter, and it wouldn't surprise me if she was a vegan!

I know right. That baffled me, because SHE is the one who volunteered the information. She was all blah blah blah, and banging on about it, her witchery, and her right-on 'I'm a gay/bi/trans-ally' bollocks, and then when people talked about it/asked her about it etc, she went all huffy and 'why are they picking on me?!!!' 😩

Of course people in that house who she's told that to are going to tell other people. Because quite simply that's in interesting fact about her. And being a 'witch', people are inevitably going to make their own conclusions from that anyway.
I'm not really sure what reaction she expected from that

I'm only part way through last night's episode but I feel bad for Twinks. I don't like how some of the housemates are turning on her just because she's a bit different to them. She's not even said anything controversial yet. (I also really like her pink and purple palette because I'd NEVER own anything like that and it really works for her).

I did laugh at Rochelle's 'I hate feminism' comment, I think that pretty much sums up the depths of her 😂

The reactions at the 2 new housemates is what makes BB and the whole concept fascinating. There was an immediate defense and pack mentality with territorial energy being ramped up by people who are old enough to know better.

I was glad to see that the 2 newbies were females - even if one is a witch 🙄

Yup! A quirky name is a must. She's a Latte Liberal (passé term, but I think genuinely applies here 😂). All about the performative approval and the meticulously curated image (bold colours and sequins are also a must).

Oh, Twinks. All those glib, shallow opinions are fine for soundbites on social media to a receptive audience. Of course it’s all going to fall apart once people start asking what you actually mean by stating you are a ‘witch’ and it becomes apparent that you are not. Handy for her that she is bi, so she can tick the ‘queer’ box. As for transwomen competing with women in sport, it shows she has not given anything real thought. I like that Omar challenged her and he’s pretty articulate though was a bit daft about the broomstick stuff.

I thought she was fishing but it's way too early for him to confide in her, he's only known her a few hours. He did look so uncomfortable. And on the sofa with the 'revelations'. He's bricking it. Of course BB aren't going to 'out' him to the house (because let's face it, they're the only ones who don't know) but he's clearly worried.

He's got a point. If you call yourself a witch people are going to go there. Why didn't she say a good witch, a white witch or a green witch and explain what that was and how it was different to the fairy tale witches.
