What's all this about salt in a cake? I've never seen it mentioned in a recipe.

It's just a mould and fondant, but it is effective.

Oh, good, Molly has redeemed herself. I admired her for keeping going after her cake fell. I’d have burst into tears and punched someone and disgraced myself.

Tom is very serious looking when they are judging, he reminds me of Ruby Tandoh who was also very anxious looking every time she was judged.

The advert breaks seem much longer than usual.
Referring to a cake as ‘she’ is fucking irritating. It’s definitely an it.

But all round I’m so glad it’s back.

Nigella didn’t make much impression. It’s weird.

Nikki is my favourite person so far.

I can’t stand the references to she for the cakes. It’s so annoying.

Very high standards of bakers this year. Love the older v good bloke, love the drag king, love Nigella. Poor Danni, my heart aches for them. Very very lucky for her that noone went home this week.
