I assume he set fire to the caravan, as wants the travellers gone, hence him saying his mother would turn in her grave?? But anyway he’s clearly not the murderer. As he’s been ‘done in’ as Eliza Doolittle would say. I can still speculate as haven’t seen the final episode yet 😁

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/08/2026 16:54

I haven’t a clue who it is

I did think maybe bf of pregnant mum/sister

OP posts:
diddl · 01/08/2026 18:00

Anyway I’m thinking the liaison officer?

He does have a foot in both camps as it were.

Was the girl's death an accident I wonder?

Eta
Can't remember her injuries/cod`?

Recklessismymiddlename · 01/08/2026 18:28

Deaths/attempted so far
smooth Lord of the manor
dead girl daughter of pregnant woman Lisa (?)
traveller Matty
attempted murder/arson of Rose/caravan

have I missed any

wonder if Rose and arson are red herrings and not linked…

is the liaison officer also a traveller? Something off with him, too nice.

diddl · 01/08/2026 19:19

Yes.

It was Rose saying that they were allowed to stay forever(?) wasn't it?

So if she died would they have to leave?

Recklessismymiddlename · 01/08/2026 20:20

Yes assume they would have to. The agreement is missing anyway…

butterpuffed · 03/08/2026 08:37

I started watching then realised I was on Series 1. I've never seen any of them and can't be bothered to scroll through three series , so watched the first ep of Series 3. I'm now on track 😄

True yes.

My other thought was would the agreement have to be honoured in perpetuity by everyone who owned the house/land?

So the land could never be sold or developed.

2nd not bad but the first not so could if you need to pay debts to keep the house!

Recklessismymiddlename · 03/08/2026 09:07

I’ve watched final episode now so I won’t be commenting further
but didn’t want to appear rude @diddl
however, I’m trying to remember my landlaw from over 40 years ago and failing miserably, as it wasn’t what I practiced.

Ooh don't worry!

I'm musing.

Overthinking more than likely!

It would likely hang on something written/signed/witnessed?

Recklessismymiddlename · 03/08/2026 11:24

Also I think it changed recently but dizziness, will mean I won’t be able to interpret correctly…
but tv shows are often not reliable. I often yell at shows, like The Split and dh refuses to watch with me, as I’m always pointing out the inconsistencies 😁 and how unrealistic it is.

diddl · 03/08/2026 13:19

but tv shows are often not reliable.

Isn't that true!

I think I'm confusing myself thinking of estates that pass through the male line & wondering if the mother would be able to just give land away just because her her husband had died & her son wasn't living there!

Of course in this case the house land is probably hers!

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/08/2026 11:35

E3 and last one tonight

deeahgwitch · 08/08/2026 08:39

I found the ending confusing, did anyone else ?
It was all a bit complicated. So there 3 deaths - one was involuntary manslaughter and the other 2 were murders.
We were left hanging re Cora ☹️

Recklessismymiddlename · 08/08/2026 08:49

I guessed about the liaison officer but not the reason. I didn’t think it was realistic tbh…. Mind you most of these programs aren’t!

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/08/2026 17:13

Finally seen e3 on plane home

I missed Cora was ill till the last few mins

I fell asleep and missed the end. I’m not that bothered enough to watch it. It’s quite a poor series.
