Mirra seems to have fallen apart against Marta. I didn’t watch it but Mirra won the first set but then lost the second and third by quite a margin. They’ve played each other a few times recently so I wonder if Marta’s comments about playing Russians have got to Mirra a bit? Or maybe she was just having an off day.

Flavio is now the highest seed standing, after a bit of a bloodbath for the top players last night. AdM, Felix and Sascha all lost. I hope Flavio can beat Tommy Paul though.
In the women's, Sara Bejlek is continuing her rapid rise, with a win over Aryna.

Yes I was surprised to see Aryna go out although perhaps I shouldn’t be, she’s lost earlier than expected several times recently.
