Disappointed that Daniil lost, but happy about Taylor.

I am torn on Tommy Paul, because I agree he’s annoying, but I quite like his game. Sorry Raahh.

Ugo has gorgeous hair, good decision to ditch the cap.

Raahh · 19/06/2026 19:34

Ice I imagine if that fine is just for the swearing , then there will be a bigger one coming for hitting the balls/whacking the towel box.
I will not be swayed on my dislike of Tommy Paul and his racquet twizzling, He has shifty eyes. Grin.

Ugo does have lovely hair Grin

ADF's hair is as magical as Matteo B's - it was perfectly vertical, and floofy, when he had been wearing a cap for a set and a half.

Sad for Daniil and for ADM at Queen's.

I think it’s pretty poor that Dan hasn’t got a singles WC - I can’t really see him getting through qualifying - he must have seriously peed someone off somewhere along the line

Awful decision by Wimbledon, or more accurately, by Tim Henman and the Wild Card Committee.

LTA were happy enough to ‘use’/laud Dan when Andy Murray needed a doubles partner for the Olympics.

Henman is a ghastly snob, and they’ve never treated Dan as ‘one of us’. Too many naughty boy nightclub visits in his youth and of course ONE episode of recreational cocaine use at the funeral of his best friend’s mother.

I hugely admired Dan for accepting his punishment and coming back from being unranked to no 21 in the world, playing in and winning the Davis Cup for GB.
In many rounds, his was the contribution that got us through, especially when the superstar Murray wasn’t playing.

Dan is a cracking player, overcoming his height with wily play, deadly slice and volleys to die for.

Roger Federer specifically invited Dan to be his training partner in both Switzerland and Dubai. He has spoken with great respect about Dan’s game.

Wimbledon should note just how many British men have reached World 21 (just a couple of points from the top 20). They won’t need two hands…

Dan broke his wrist last year, hence his lack of matches. I’d love to see him qualify but I think it’s unlikely.
He will die trying though.

Dan wanted a goodbye to the fans. Not much to ask and Wimbledon have shown poor form and despicable spite in turning him down.

He has a Doubles Wild Card with Henry Searle. I hope Wimbledon manages to show some grace and put them on a decent court.

I will be there on a couple of days, and will make a beeline for their match.
I am certain the fans will give him a great and respectful farewell.

Jess Pegula has taken the first set against Aryna in Berlin- I'm not really much of a fan of either, but I am edging towards Jess in this match. Aryna was off court for a long time at the end of the first set.

I jinxed Jess.

Raahh · 20/06/2026 12:46

Jess has pulled it back to a tie break.
Not sure how this is going now.

That's not a good time for a rain delay.

Francisco looks very cranky today

Raahh · 20/06/2026 14:38

I just got back from shopping- doesn't look like Berlin has re-started yet! They thought it was a passing shower went they went off.

Sascha has a break against Taylor, and not going well for Francisco.

OP posts:
Raahh · 20/06/2026 14:59

Francisco has turned things around, just needs to serve out the set.

JaneJeffer · 20/06/2026 15:05

I’ve flicked over to Halle. Sascha seems to be in a bit of pain. Not sure if it’s his back.

Raahh · 20/06/2026 15:37

I was score watching Sascha- I did notice a medical time out earlier.

Match resumed in Berlin- Aryna took the second set tie break, but Jess has raced off to a 5-0 lead in the 3rd.I thought maybe the rain delay had helped Aryna.

ChessieFL · 20/06/2026 15:46

I am just scorewatching again today as I’m away for the weekend. Doesn’t look like I’ve missed much so far with the rain delays though.

Raahh · 20/06/2026 15:48

No idea what happened to Aryna, it was a 3rd set bagel for Jess.

At least she won't win a bear this time, if she wins- I think the trophy is now an elephant? Unless they've changed it again.

Raahh · 20/06/2026 15:54

Well done Francisco- nice meeting at the net.

JaneJeffer · 20/06/2026 15:58

Well done Francisco. I thought it was going to be a victory for Brandon.

Taylor isn’t taking advantage of Sascha’s woes

JaneJeffer · 20/06/2026 16:01

Oh now he’s motoring

JaneJeffer · 20/06/2026 16:02

Sascha got a time violation. He is not happy!

JaneJeffer · 20/06/2026 16:08

1-1 now

Raahh · 20/06/2026 16:27

It's a long time since Sascha beat Taylor, so it would be a big deal if he did- but Taylor doesn't seem to be making it easy for himself, considering Sascha is far from 100%.

OP posts:
JaneJeffer · 20/06/2026 17:04

Well done Taylor.

Sascha did well considering he was sick as a dog!

Raahh · 20/06/2026 17:05

Well done Taylor.

I'm disappointed that Ugo is losing to TP.

Come on UGO!!

Frances didn’t hang around
