Looks like the old thread is ending and I had a Jannik-panic .

I think he might be my new favourite Jane.

I feel really sorry for Arthur. He wants so badly to have a great run at RG, and this is the second year in a row that his body’s let him down. It really is a bummer of a tournament with Carlos, Lore, Holger, Jack all out, and now Arthur as well.

Ice it's rubbish, isnt it? Arthur would have drawn big crowds on home soil, and was starting to do really well recently. I can understand why he doesn't want to make any injuries worse- but he must be bitterly disappointed.

And I have switched on TNT- to a discussion about Raducanu , and Tim sitil insisting she's amazing.

At least Rachel Stringerdoesn't appear to be there (yet - it's Laura manning the desk- but it doesn't mean she won't be back).

Agassi is involved- that's cool.

I am bracing myself for the TNT coverage being as bad as last year, and a lot of talking when play has already started.

Makes me grateful when we get back to Sky (and I don't say that oftenever).

RB isn’t working

I don't have the 'really easy to use HBO channel' (I refuse to pay for anything else). I do have TNT- which seems to have 2/3 channels for tennis- and a red button thing that can show up to 6 matches- but never does,
So really, it's no different to ITV/Eurosport of old, in that I can probably watch 2 matches, consistently.

We are somehow watching Spanish coverage of ADF/Dzumhur. It looks hot out there.

Despite saying I wouldn’t, I have given in and subscribed to TNT to be able to watch. DD is hogging the TV so I have ADF on my phone and Alja Tomljanovic on my iPad. It’s rather confusing.

Simon Reed keeps banging on about HBO Max but you need to have another subscription to get the tennis on that app here. Probably why the RB does nothing so that people will cave in and get it. Complete rip off.

i'm about getting ready to give up- and it's only day one. Why do they think we want to talk about a match that has already started??!
I don't give a toss what Jo Konta thinks about the speed of courts in the heat- and Tim Henman could barely hit a ball on clay .

I’m not going to have much time to watch this week anyway so hopefully next week when there’s fewer matches we’ll get to see them on the main channels. Otherwise I might do a magi and go on the piss every day

I had forgotten how much I hate this version of 'You were always on my mind', every single ad break. I like Casper, but honestly, the Renault ad got on my nerves enough last year .
