Huge chance for Matteo to go deep in his part of the draw- if that match hasn't taken too much out of him (or caused any injuries, since he's so unlucky !).

Just seen Amanda Anisimova got knocked out. That’s a surprise. She was playing Diane Parry so maybe the crowd support for Diane got to her.

If it's any consolation to Matteo- whoever he plays is also probably going to be just as knackered. 4 and 3/4 hours in the match, and it could still go to a 5th, if Landaluce takes this tie break.

I saw the start of that match- a lot was made in commentary (Chrissie was commentating) about her time out with injury, but that she expected her to be able to bounce back. It went to a match tie break though. Not an easy match.

And Landaluce has taken it to the 5th set- so really, the next round will be won by whoever still has anything left in their legs.

Another rowdy crowd for Kouame. Cheering all of Tabilo's errors and a lot of noise when he is serving though.

Hopefully Matteo’s grand slam experience will carry him through!

Landaluce obviously doesn't want to prolong this match much further. He's ahead by a break in the 5th.
Won't be a good day for the Cerundolos , if he wins.

There have been so many epic 5 set matches this week.

Kouame is trying to get to the 5th set- Tabilo's serve is really his big weapon. Moise has the whole vocal crowd on his side. They are singing now!

Match tie break for Landaluce and JMC.

Madison Keys doing well against Mboko- Madison often goes under the radar, and can be dangerous when she does.

And Anastasia Potapova wins- Coco struggles against her.

Coco will be disappointed, but she is often vulnerable, and her serve was off at times.

Anastasia does seem to be having problems with her arm though. Might be cramp.

The women's draw is now wide open too in that section.

Nearly 6 hours now for JMC and Landaluce.

Good to see that Matteo won - I’ve got a good feeling about him this tournament (I’ve definitely jinxed him now!)

Not sure that I can get excited about Felix and Nakashima but everyone is probably watching the footy anyway

No, I've given myself a break for a bit, since I've watched quite a lot. Sorry Felix, but I'm not that fussed about watching.Be nice for him to win.

Casper has the night match tomorrow. If the heat wave had broken,and temperatures were a lot cooler- that would really favour Casper.

I've gone back to watching the Rafa documentary- episode 2 focusing a lot on the 2008 final. Even knowing the result, it's always stressful watching it .

Part of me (almost) wishes I could go back and watch it again in real time.

But -nope, the stress.
Like watching Edberg win in 90, after he lost in straight sets the year before.

I did not like the ominous appearance of Djok at the end of episode 2.
