I agree with @AnnieLummox comments upthread, but while rubbish storylining has been a bugbear for a long time; I now find that the length of time it takes to get to the end of any given storyline actually irks me even more.

The whole scenario of Todd sucking everybody in the village in with her lies is ridiculous. "Her space" indeed!

I thought the scriptwriters were hoping we’d forgotten, to be honest. Partly because the actress got cancelled, but mainly because we might twig that Manpreet’s daughter was the about the same age as the sister she supposedly grew up with.

Rishi tried to set her up with Jai but she had a really annoying laugh. They basically copied the East is East scene. Chris Bisson must have had déjà vu!

Manpreet and Youknowwho were as believable as siblings as Moira and Mackenzie due to unlikely age differences

Obviously it’s not impossible, but Mackenzie is supposed to vividly remember Moira leaving home at 17. He’d have to be at least 40 now for that to make sense.

She was unceremoniously axed because the actress had sent some unsavoury tweets a few years prior and they resurfaced in the press.

@honeyrider it's not really the age difference so much as the inconsistency of supposed memories they have.

As is often the case, the writers don't research or think stuff out accurately.

They changed Chas’ age too and now she’d have been about 14 when she had Aaron which doesn’t fit in with her story at all.

Trouble is, even if Simo does give a statement it won't necessarily help Bear as Simo witnessed Ray treating Bear more favourably than the others.
