There is some serious enmeshment going on between Joel and his mother. I found it very sad to watch. She must be a very disordered woman and Joel has developed a weird way of coping. He's probably deeply ashamed but must remain loyal to his mother, who likes to embarrass him. Extremely hard to watch.

And Tyson. What a pisstake this all is. The brides must be gutted that they were set up like this.

Joel is gay. He can't hide it.

DH was raised by a chauvinist, ‘trad dad’ in the 70s/80s and he is not in any way like him. Neither are his brothers who have all married strong women. They saw what an arse he was.

Yes, red flag. Not buying it. They were good at the start, but Scott is put out by her behaviour. He's not the sharpest, but he's not cruel like she is.

Gia is abusive and abusers do not abuse 24/7. Some will be extremely confused by that (Scott) and others will never go near her (Stella). She might suck up to some, who will feel amazing for five minutes but cannot completely detach.

Very sad that a young child grows up in this.
