Happy Easter (2026) Corrie fans! :) CORONATION STREET THREAD. **No spoilers please.**

Not much has changed since the start of the last thread - only been about 4 weeks since the last one was started.. So...... Following on from the last thread...

Carl hasn't been in it much this past few weeks, but still, no-one seems to be able to take him down. He's done so many bad things!

Mal is still dreadful.... and has just been beaten up by Kit (and tried to blame Dev,) but I think his game is up now Daniel heard him laying into Bernie (who he's been stalking!) Hopefully the stalking story is over, and Mal can leave!

Ma Driscoll was horrendous - but she is less horrendous I think. (Growing on me a bit.) Kit is still fit. Ronnie and Kevin's new double act hasn't advanced much 😆 (I was enjoying their bad cop/bad cop routine too.) Jim McDonald died recently, and it emerges that Ma Driscoll had a bit of a thing with him many years ago, when she had her son Ben! 👀

Debbie is still in prison. Not seeing much of her at the moment. Hopefully we see more of her soon!

Hope is still cheeky as ever.

Big story at the moment is Todd and Theo have just got married. They split up for a few weeks after Todd had just had enough of him, but Theo concocted a plan to make Todd miss a race he had been training for, and got back into Todd's head (and bed!) Then Theo railroaded Todd into a 'surprise' wedding, as he hadn't cancelled the booking at the Registry Office. Theo is really cruel and abusive to Todd, and poor Todd is just so beaten down by it all. Hopefully this storyline comes to a close too, because it's horrible watching Todd suffer, and also frustrating!

We also have Shona's sister Jodie popping up every 5 minutes, just working in the cafe, and offering her babysitting, and giving long lingering looks to David. And Tyrone who had been hit by a car that Carl was driving seems to be walking all of a sudden after spending the last few months in a wheelchair. Oh, and a baby has been dropped off at Carla and Lisa's home by a woman claiming it's the baby of the prison guard Carla's brother Rob was sleeping with. They just took her and are looking after her now - obviously. 😆

Mucky pervy Megan Trainer has been arrested for having a 'relationship' with one of her pupils, (Will Driscoll,) but Will is denying anything happened, so will they be able to do anything? Toyah, Eva, and Leanne have joined forces to try and bring her down. Especially as she has been blackmailing and bullying young Sam - Nick's son - as he can see her for what she is!

I still don’t get why Jodie cancelled Bethany’s date by pretending to be her. Mind you, I’m not getting most stuff in Corrie lately lol but I do agree that Debbie shouldn’t be in prison and wouldn’t the officers be kinder to someone with dementia?

How is dopey Will gonna explain how he knows about MT “baby” being miscarried without letting on he’s in touch with her? Agree she has planned this “miscarriage” as an excuse for not being pg in the first place. Reckon it’s all going to come to a head soon 🤞 was she one of the possible murders?

I must admit I don't know any schoolkids who keep their school uniform on once the school day is over. I never did. (Neither did my friends.)

You could be right though that it's probably so we remember they are schoolkids.

@JewelleryCat I wonder if Jodie did what she did to Bethany because Bethany is onto her... She has suspected she is a bit odd for a while.

Was Kit really scared off by Dev? Can't see it really.

Loved Ma Driscoll going off on one at Megan Trainer. She's growing on me more every week.

Also agreeing with a few posters that Corrie has been good this past few weeks.

I thibk that Megan is faking the miscarriage. Hard to know for sure, but she probably had the abortion ages ago and this is the excuse she is using now. However , she had a scan photo, so I am confused a bit !

and what had happened to Dev?

He keeps coming back to Bernie however badly she treats him - a night in the cells didn't bring him to his senses, instead he is taking her out and switching on the cheesey Alahan charm.

I can't stand her doing her " you do not know what I am capable of" line every week. What is she capable of ? Mainly it is swanning around doing her evil panto villain stares.

How is Meghan paying for her new flat when she isn’t working? I am confused about the whole thing and was Will’s Nan tracing his phone as she knew where she lived. I guess it must be this.

I guess Ma Driscoll was capable of following Will out of the pub and watching him wander off to the precinct flats. Megan is not exactly in hiding. Even Will had the sense to ask "why are you moving back round here?"

Dev taking Bernie back is totally unbelievable. She had a night in a hotel with mal and then dev is charged with his assault and she knows her son did it. But hey, I forgive you??? And Jodie is ridiculous with her scheming. And bloody ma Driscoll. She just needs a big black cloak to swish about and a moustache to twiddle. Thank god for Gary and George, they have made the show watchable and actually, I’m going to say it and haven’t said it for ages, enjoyable!

Well she did kill him but nobody suspects it.

We saw it in the flashback episode.

I think she's still pregnant, the line from Maggie about taking her baby when she would be in jail really spooked her.

She seems to have saved money by renting a flat that only consists of a tiny space behind the front door

Ma Driscoll pushed her husband down the stairs and killed him, and she also pinned Daniel’s assault on an innocent homeless person. So I’d say she’s capable of quite a lot!

The baby storyline has been very odd because even Megan didn’t seem to buy into it. She has shown no interest in her pregnancy, she never looked pregnant, and Will has barely mentioned it.

Why does Dev keep forgiving Bernie so easily? His characterisation nowadays is completely unbelievable, original Dev would have left her years ago.

She is no Kevin Webster though, when he found out Rosie was seeing her teacher it took him about two minutes to sort Stape out, none of this going round with evil glares and empty threats malarky.

She had a tracker in Will's pocket, he said something about finding it when he met up with the Trainer.

Wouldn’t Megan have gone to hospital if she’d had a miscarriage? She has been pregnant for quite a few weeks, it wasn’t a very early miscarriage.

Isn't there a solicitors' office any more? Adam and Alya seem to do all their business in Roy's grotty cafe or the pub! Corrie, if you're going to do "legal" storylines, please get a set rather than have legal eagles conduct their confidential business in public. Ridiculous.

I am completely agreeing with everyone about Dev. It's farcical that he keeps 'forgiving' Bernie. I'm not trying to victim blame, but she's brought the Mal trouble to the door by spending the night in a hotel room with him. That was bloody weird anyway, as she didn't know him. Like hell would I have locked myself inside a hotel room with some random bloke! Dev automatically believed she didn't shag him too! Mal really is repugnant in every way ... I wonder why he's obsessed with Bernie...?

Agree also that the 2 lawyers doing their work in Roy's cafe is odd!
