Happy Easter (2026) Corrie fans! :) CORONATION STREET THREAD. **No spoilers please.**

Not much has changed since the start of the last thread - only been about 4 weeks since the last one was started.. So...... Following on from the last thread...

Carl hasn't been in it much this past few weeks, but still, no-one seems to be able to take him down. He's done so many bad things!

Mal is still dreadful.... and has just been beaten up by Kit (and tried to blame Dev,) but I think his game is up now Daniel heard him laying into Bernie (who he's been stalking!) Hopefully the stalking story is over, and Mal can leave!

Ma Driscoll was horrendous - but she is less horrendous I think. (Growing on me a bit.) Kit is still fit. Ronnie and Kevin's new double act hasn't advanced much 😆 (I was enjoying their bad cop/bad cop routine too.) Jim McDonald died recently, and it emerges that Ma Driscoll had a bit of a thing with him many years ago, when she had her son Ben! 👀

Debbie is still in prison. Not seeing much of her at the moment. Hopefully we see more of her soon!

Hope is still cheeky as ever.

Big story at the moment is Todd and Theo have just got married. They split up for a few weeks after Todd had just had enough of him, but Theo concocted a plan to make Todd miss a race he had been training for, and got back into Todd's head (and bed!) Then Theo railroaded Todd into a 'surprise' wedding, as he hadn't cancelled the booking at the Registry Office. Theo is really cruel and abusive to Todd, and poor Todd is just so beaten down by it all. Hopefully this storyline comes to a close too, because it's horrible watching Todd suffer, and also frustrating!

We also have Shona's sister Jodie popping up every 5 minutes, just working in the cafe, and offering her babysitting, and giving long lingering looks to David. And Tyrone who had been hit by a car that Carl was driving seems to be walking all of a sudden after spending the last few months in a wheelchair. Oh, and a baby has been dropped off at Carla and Lisa's home by a woman claiming it's the baby of the prison guard Carla's brother Rob was sleeping with. They just took her and are looking after her now - obviously. 😆

Mucky pervy Megan Trainer has been arrested for having a 'relationship' with one of her pupils, (Will Driscoll,) but Will is denying anything happened, so will they be able to do anything? Toyah, Eva, and Leanne have joined forces to try and bring her down. Especially as she has been blackmailing and bullying young Sam - Nick's son - as he can see her for what she is!

I am getting a bit fed up of the sneaky devious Jodie storyline, surely one of the several people who have noticed she's dodgy as fuck would have talked to another one of them, they are mostly from the same family!

Was it Bethany who was suspicious of Jodie at one stage ? Sorry, don’t know names that well.
She told someone else that Jodie wasn’t being truthful about the ring being found by her. Then it went quiet.
Surely the girl with the I pad will tell her parents a policewoman took it away and they will report it? She has to be found out eventually.

Yes Bethany thought something was off about Jodie but then Jodie won her over.

Bethany was suspicious of Jodie. Jodie realised. Cancelled Bethany’s date with Bethany’s phone when she left it unattended (who does that!). Bethany thought she’d been stood up. Jodie sympathised and suddenly they’re like Bessie mates, always going out together. And all suspicions have left Bethany’s head apparently!

Oh yes! Jodie deflected the worries about her behavior.
I wonder if she’ll do the same with the police when they come for her for impersonating Lisa !

My tv guide says Corrie is on tomorrow at 7.30pm, I have no idea why. I hate when the schedule gets changed

Ooooh, I have just googled this, and it seems like it may well have started then!

I don't think he called her Gail on a regular basis for several years after though. But he did do it now and again.. He has called her GAIL more often than mum since the mid noughties I think! 😆

I think Bethany decided to pretend to be friendly with Jodie to kind of 'keep an eye on her' - like a 'keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer sort' of thing as she didn't trust Jodie....

Then Daniel started shouting at Bethany about her past behaviour, (in the street) and Jodie warned him off and defended Bethany. And then Bethany said 'thanks Jodie, you're a good mate' and smiled warmly at her. So she is kind of OK with Jodie now. But Jodie only defended her as a manipulation tactic. To try and win Bethany over. Jodie is no-one's friend!

At least we haven't been subjected to David's shit lately. David the dog that is.

Oh yes, I forgot that shit storyline (in all senses!).

There was a pretty cool ad for Corrie on tonight. All the baddies lined up watching as George loaded a coffin into the hearse with a question mark made out of flowers on top. Ma from the pub was lined up too. She’s annoying, but I wouldn’t have put her in the baddies line up!

I saw the new trailer too. If all five of them are there looking at the hearse, does that mean that they are the suspects? I thought one of them was going to be the victim.
It better not be Todd.

I think when Jodie stuck up for her with Daniel Bethany was genuinely grateful but I do hope she still reserves a bit of suspicion for her. She did share her suspicions with Sarah didn’t she so maybe Sarah will catch Jodie out in something. Looking forward to next weeks eps.

Just been thinking about this week's murder after seeing the new short video with George as the undertaker at the hearse and the 5 possible victims all dressed in mourning black.
All 5 have been Corrie characters for less than a year! Theo and Carl appeared last spring, Maggie and Megan last autumn and Jodie in January.
Who will it be?
Looking forward to this week on the cobbles!

That’s very true in real life, but on coronation street everyone gets a job within 5 minutes of turning up.
It would be good to have a storyline regarding unemployment and all the stresses that brings - far more realistic than a serial killer on the street every couple of years.

Seems to be on every day Sunday to Thursday this week. I don't really understand why it's missing on Friday. It's not due to a sporting fixture.

The wedding is on Thursday , St George’s day!
Maybe they want the suspense until Monday or something hence not on Friday. Which is annoying.
