Happy Easter (2026) Corrie fans! :) CORONATION STREET THREAD. **No spoilers please.**

Not much has changed since the start of the last thread - only been about 4 weeks since the last one was started.. So...... Following on from the last thread...

Carl hasn't been in it much this past few weeks, but still, no-one seems to be able to take him down. He's done so many bad things!

Mal is still dreadful.... and has just been beaten up by Kit (and tried to blame Dev,) but I think his game is up now Daniel heard him laying into Bernie (who he's been stalking!) Hopefully the stalking story is over, and Mal can leave!

Ma Driscoll was horrendous - but she is less horrendous I think. (Growing on me a bit.) Kit is still fit. Ronnie and Kevin's new double act hasn't advanced much 😆 (I was enjoying their bad cop/bad cop routine too.) Jim McDonald died recently, and it emerges that Ma Driscoll had a bit of a thing with him many years ago, when she had her son Ben! 👀

Debbie is still in prison. Not seeing much of her at the moment. Hopefully we see more of her soon!

Hope is still cheeky as ever.

Big story at the moment is Todd and Theo have just got married. They split up for a few weeks after Todd had just had enough of him, but Theo concocted a plan to make Todd miss a race he had been training for, and got back into Todd's head (and bed!) Then Theo railroaded Todd into a 'surprise' wedding, as he hadn't cancelled the booking at the Registry Office. Theo is really cruel and abusive to Todd, and poor Todd is just so beaten down by it all. Hopefully this storyline comes to a close too, because it's horrible watching Todd suffer, and also frustrating!

We also have Shona's sister Jodie popping up every 5 minutes, just working in the cafe, and offering her babysitting, and giving long lingering looks to David. And Tyrone who had been hit by a car that Carl was driving seems to be walking all of a sudden after spending the last few months in a wheelchair. Oh, and a baby has been dropped off at Carla and Lisa's home by a woman claiming it's the baby of the prison guard Carla's brother Rob was sleeping with. They just took her and are looking after her now - obviously. 😆

Mucky pervy Megan Trainer has been arrested for having a 'relationship' with one of her pupils, (Will Driscoll,) but Will is denying anything happened, so will they be able to do anything? Toyah, Eva, and Leanne have joined forces to try and bring her down. Especially as she has been blackmailing and bullying young Sam - Nick's son - as he can see her for what she is!

The smaller roles (fairly recently joined ones usually) get a flat rate per appearance or episode, but experienced/main cast members earn significant salaries ranging from £120,000 to over £250,000 a year. Not that many earn £250,000, but quite a few earn over £120,000. (Mostly the ones who have been there 10+ years.) So it's a bit of a mix, how the actors get paid.

Yup - pimple patches. 2 x teen DDs here, we’ve seen them all here, in all shapes, sizes, colours, smiley faces, even butterflies… honestly draw far more attention to them!

Whatever Lilly had said n her zits was black. It looked like she’d coloured over them with a felt tip. (My friend did that with eyeliner in the days when Cindy Crawford’s beauty spot was cool!)

Lauren has gone into the Kirk catagory. It’s like they didn’t know what to do with the character so made them one dimensional slapstick. They did it with Gail for a bit too.

Lauren should go and work in the Flying Horse or the Legion for a while. Frankeh is just fine in the cupboard.

But I have come to like the Driscolls. I think Ben fits in well, I don't even mind Ma Driscoll now she is less panto. Mardy Lauren needs firing though.

Yeah, it was when Theo went to see Billy in the funeral parlour. Although, I don't know how Theo can prove anything. Unless Theo was recorded in the funeral parlour, I can't see how Theo can prove he admitted it to (deceased) Billy.

With all the horrors and silliness of the last few weeks I had almost forgotten about Shona and David's baby still in hospital. The writers had better produce a decent storyline after Theo/Todd are no longer centre stage. As for Jodie finally seducing David if it happens then she needs dealing with and I think Cassie/Abbie/Tracy would make a good mafia mob if they teamed up. David guilty too of course. They could tie him up and shave his head. 😁

I know Carl isn't making it up, we saw him overhear Theo. But unless he recorded it he has no evidence so it's worthless.

I don’t mind David as his funny, but he always looks spaced out most of the time and a bit distant.
He called his mum ‘ Gail ‘ I noticed on the phone.

As soon as Harper is out of hospital, Jodie will kidnap her. So she's better off where she is 😆

David’s baby in hospital is Harper.

He's always called his mum Gail.

It's obvious Jodie's working her way towards getting David to be unfaithful to Shona but I hope that, when he eventually realises what she's up to, he does the decent thing, rejects her and tells Shona, not the usual soap keeping secrets and building up BS drama.

I felt a bit lost at Ma Driscoll being so dickish to Steve last night, had he done something?

Also Lauren should have lamped her a shot for grabbing her arm like that.

Ahh, I haven’t been watching for decades and I didn’t know David called her Gail ! It just struck me as odd yesterday

I remember saying now how odd it was (IMO) to name your baby after the doctor who delivered her/him.

Harper is quite a cute name though to be fair.

Yeah he does that. 😆 I can't remember when it started, because in Classic Corrie (which is now in 2008,) where he's 17, he's still calling her mum (I think.)

It made me laugh when David was on phone to his mum and wished her happy birthday just after saying he has to go now because she’s boring him.
