And yet it was the first time she'd ever slept with Vinny and she didn't use contraception. An odd choice!

I’d want to know if the baby was Harry’s or Vinny’s, but EE characters are always pushed into dubious activities ( in this case to stop Nicola getting wind of anything )
She probably won’t let it drop.

I really like Penny, The actress is good and she’s developed into an interesting character. Wasn’t she mixed up in some criminal activity and with dodgy drug dealers in France when she first came to the Square? Maybe she still has unsavoury connections who can arrange a fake DNA test? 😆

Vinny is a wet lettuce but also renting her a shop seems OTT and controlling. I wish she would just tell Harry he’s the father, work it all out with him & Gina, and they could live happily ever after…but it’s EE, so that won’t happen.

I still think Priya is somehow part of that flash forward episode and may be involved with Lothario Max. They’ve got her working at the car lot for a reason…all tied up with dodgy Mark, Lauren, the reason the police come looking for Max & Lauren in the flash forward?

I agree Vinny is railroading her into things she doesn't really want. I suppose he gets that from Suki!

yes she was dodgy when she arrived so maybe still has those contacts!

I love Nicola when she’s being hard but she may have met her match in Penny! On a more important note, did anyone notice how tiny the mugs were that Vicky and Ross were drinking out of today. Not small enough to be espresso cups, but not big enough for a full mug 😁

Yes, there’s absolutely no real reason for her to be working at the car lot unless it’s for a future storyline. It’s hardly Available Car, surely it only needs one person working there.

Penny was well dodgy at first, she planted drugs on Lauren when they returned from Paris.

Penny Penny Penny! Surely when the baby is born we will know if it’s Vinny’s by the colour of the skin? So why doesn’t she do a proper dna test now and not a fake one.

I like Penny actress now. And Barney actor is good.

Agree above. As Lauren said Harry is white and Vinny isn't.

It isn't as if Penny could pass Harry's baby off as Vinny's so there is no point lying about it. Not sure she's thought this through!

Penny is quietly assertive isn’t she. It is nice as normally the women are seen shouting the odds or hitting each other. It’s good to show a different side to dealing with someone like Nicola, the alpha female.

I know an Asian/White couple with two children. One of the children basically looks white with just a hint of olive skin (the other child looks mixed heritage). Genetics can be a funny thing. Penny might be able to pull it off!😂

I thought this as well. Stranger things have happened. Especially in EE.

Can someone explain about DNA test for an unborn baby? I had thought that this could be done in exceptional circumstances by extracting amniotic fluid (under medical conditions) and comparing with a sample from the potential father. But Nic was talking about a shop on the High Street, and said all Penny needed was a cheek swab and a sample from Vinnie. I know technology moves at a fast pace sometimes, but is this right?

Nicola didn’t bother getting a DNA test for Barney and was happy to pass him off as Teddy’s boy for years.
Like most of them , total hypocrites when it suits them.
( .. although this is harder for her to overcome due to the ethnicity of each potential dad)

Didn't Sharon have one re Albie? Or was that after he was born.

Sharon sent off a DNA test when she was pregnant with Albie and the result came back wrong ( I think I’m right here?) I do recall her sending off a test via a courier. How it was wrong I’ve no idea though.

That tallies with my vague memory!

I can’t remember how Sharon discovered that Phil was the dad , it’s very vague , but something must have happened and Keanu only found out on Christmas Day and was then killed by Linda.

Wasn't it something to do with Albie getting ill and it being an inherited gene which Keanu didn't have but Phil did. Or something like that?

Yes, it was a genetic thing wasn’t it! Never mentioned again after Sharon discovered that the original DNA test was wrong! Phil doesn’t mention his son either.
They have been gone for ages.

My memory says kidneys, but it might not have been. Definitely a genetic thing though.
