I love this, Diane is fab, love Mel. Big fan of Romesh.

I'd like to see Tom Davis in the next series.
Katherine Ryan
Jo Brand
Sindhu Vee
Rob Brydon

whirlyhead · 25/03/2026 16:28

I think Sam Campbell is hilarious. Just his face!

I’d like to see James acaster on it. He might just destroy the set.

also jack Dee.

BellaPommefritio · 25/03/2026 16:51

Rob Brydon!Good call!

RunkleC · 25/03/2026 19:48

I also think James Acaster would be great! And Lee Mack. His humour would work so well

RonnieOmelettes · 25/03/2026 20:49

The tear silently rolling down Bemi’s face before she exploded so magnificently 😆

Kate3150 · 26/03/2026 14:37

I prefer it so much more to the first series.
Alan Carr is comedy gold! X

CaptainMyCaptain · 26/03/2026 16:05

More available tonight I think.

murasaki · 26/03/2026 16:07

2 I think. We're waiting until tomorrow.

CaveMum · 26/03/2026 20:12

Just seen the 2 episodes have dropped so will be catching up this evening.

Whats the policy on discussing here? Are we spoiler free for a certain amount of time?

RunkleC · 26/03/2026 21:07

Annoying that we’ve got to wait another week now for the last episode. Wish they would’ve just released it today with the others

DH and I said exactly that! Jack Dee and James Acaster would be brilliant.
I'd also love to see it as a platform for a Lee and Herring reunion but that's never going to happen

Haggisfish3 · 26/03/2026 22:59

Although I thought Sam’s joker wasn’t great-too short. His legs were funny in the costume though.

ShowDownTime · 26/03/2026 23:55

It seems a bit arbitrary, this laughing thing. Alan smirked his way through the first three episodes and nothing was said. David Mitchell has been smiling loads too. But the female comedian (sorry, not know her name, the one in the red flowery dress) was binned for a tiny smile.

Dewbery · 27/03/2026 07:22

The Romesh joker was amazing. I think Sam will be hard to beat. Our 13yr old has been watching with us and it was all very cringe last night. I don’t remember the first series having so many sexual references. I really liked the first series particularly Rob Beckett and Lou Sanders. Second series has grown on me. Not sure how Mel has survived so long it must be the weird face she pulls. Still don’t find her funny.

BellaPommefritio · 27/03/2026 08:03

Agree on arbitrary red cards, and so many in a rush! Seemed a shame to lose Alan. Haven't watched the second one up there, saving it as a Gardeners World chaser tonight! Stewart lee would be great on this, he was on a Youtube Harry Hill chat show recently and was constantly laughing- can really recommend it, there's a brilliant joke about castles on there by Harry that cracked me up.

It was a bit odd and not as funny as I'd expected.

I think they just had to get really strict given the limited number of episodes they could do as they had all done well so far. The way Romesh was picked on really wasn't fair though.

myladyjane · 27/03/2026 09:04

Agree re Sam’s joker but I also really loved Romesh’s (he’s growing on me recently I must say). I also thought what they did to him wasn’t fair but I liked him and the intimacy co-ordinates. Maisie crying also very funny.

DH and I still finding it mostly very funny but my teens are not. Bob Mortimer especially leaves them cold - they like Sam in other stuff.

I agree with your kids. I absolutely LOVE would I lie to you and Bob is so funny on that. I also liked Sam’s appearances on WILTY. But on this, for some reason I am not finding them funny at all. The only ones I’ve properly laughed at are Alan, Romesh and David

flagpolesitta · 27/03/2026 10:35

Romesh’s joker was great, I saw his stand up a couple of years ago and he was brilliant, definitely want to see his new tour.

The intimacy coordinators were hilarious, I’ve only seen the actors on stath lets flats before but they were great.

The Romesh ambush was really unfair given the general play. It felt like a shift in the rules. I know Carr says he’s allowed to mess with the play - but it felt too much. Because it was Carr - Romesh probably felt he couldn’t walk away like they can with fellow comedians.
Carr was right it was a total dick move.
Sam is playing well and says occasionally hilarious things. I thought his joker was pants.
Mel is so irritating “oO ‘Ello!” “Ello sailor!”
She is way too irritating. Diane is a queen and a pro in comparison.
I think a flaw in the format is the smiling thing as it’s hard to police the face to that extent as loads of them are gurning to avoid smiling.

I love Romesh now & jimmy carr is even more of a t**t than he was to me. I had softened towards him but I’m sick of him now.
I think it could be Sam to win as he appears to have total facial control and they don’t know him well enough to rattle him. It’s like he’s too weird to be vulnerable to them. Bob is a joy even though nothing is as wonderful as his series 1 Joker except for Joe wotsit’s lifeboat one which was heaven.

Yes the sexual and scatological content seems higher this year which is a bit of a shame as the premise is so innocent.

also the intimacy coordinators went for Romesh more aggressively than with the others. Not fair IMHO.

Calling Sam a child was very funny

TheyreJustNormalCheeses · 27/03/2026 17:09

Agree the judging seems a bit topsy turvy. I think they let too much slide initially then ended up with too many players near the end. I liked that Romesh went with more straight jokes for his joker. For me Sam’s fell flat. I loved Bob’s, maybe even more than S1.

I’d like to see Julia Davis and Vicki Pepperdine come in as Joan & Jericha like Natasha and Ellie did as intimacy co-ordinators next time. There was a fair amount of sexual content last series too iirc.

ComeOnPhilEarlySpringPlease · 27/03/2026 17:16

Carr popping up wasn't that different from Alison Hammond in the fridge. Still do not know how Rob Beckett and Bob Mortimer got through that.
I had thought with Romesh being there, they'd have had Beckett as the surprise face tbf. Maybe he was busy.

murasaki · 27/03/2026 21:56

The scatological/sexual content, while more than series 1, is nothing compared to the Australian version.

Romesh was totally stitched up, it was completely unfair, the others didn't make him crack. His joker was fantastic.

Sam's was disappointing.

Mel's hairy biscuits were a stroke of genius.

Bob's cheese grading with the kazoo thing was good, but it was the Queen of the Night aria that had me crying with laughter.
