I only iron as I need things but did she just say that she is making the kids suffer as she could be with them - she doesnt get up until between 10 and 11 - oh I need to stop posting now - but 1 last thing the other ones family kind of take the mickey out of her dont they!!

mishi1977 · 02/02/2005 21:25

i completely forgot about tonights so missed first fifteen minutes..made me laugh about ironing bedsheets its hard enough to iron our clothes

hub2dee · 02/02/2005 21:25

Got to be the most boring episode so far. Can't wait for the desparate housewives though

RTKangaMummy · 02/02/2005 21:27

mishi I am so sorry I was upstairs

OP posts:
hercules · 02/02/2005 21:27

mishi1977 · 02/02/2005 21:32

ur not superwoman...nearly there but cant do everything
anyways my own fault for letting DH but dvd on while im listing on ebay

mummygow · 02/02/2005 21:32

I think so to hercules

Juliehafrancis · 02/02/2005 21:34

I can't believe this episode. Does know one feel that the way the little 2 yr old is appaling? I could never leave my little girl like that.... I am so shocked!

hub2dee · 02/02/2005 21:36

'Desperate' is a word I can never spell correctly. I always start with 'despair' and find the 'a' a tad sticky

Oh goody. Maybe rule change will see something interesting happen. Not.

hercules · 02/02/2005 21:36

PMSL - a woman's dream to see the soap in the washing machine!!!!

mishi1977 · 02/02/2005 21:37

hercules...oo is it not all we aspire for the sounds of a washer

hercules · 02/02/2005 21:38

I cant believe the neighbour

hub2dee · 02/02/2005 21:42

Yeah, enighbour seemed not nice to say the least.

At the end, Dawn snogs her new blokey, Gary.

Honestly. Really.

hub2dee · 02/02/2005 21:44

Got the names wrong. It's JoJo that's gonna score with Gary. Woops. Really. It's gonna happen.

mummygow · 02/02/2005 21:51

no! you have got to be kidding she isnt is she?

mummygow · 02/02/2005 22:02

Ha ha hub2dee - you got me there!!!

hub2dee · 02/02/2005 22:15

mummygow. No, really. Look in the 'Sun' tomorrow morning. JoJo joined Gary and launched a car valet business. Doing very well apparently.

mumtochloe · 03/02/2005 10:15

I am very gullible. Are you sure Hub2dee??!!!! If so is it on the Sun website??

Yours stupidly xx

hub2dee · 03/02/2005 11:55

Mumtochloe, it was on the Website but got so many hits from MN I think they had to take it down

Would've been a great story though.

crunchie · 03/02/2005 12:12

My dh was laughing everytime Dawn said 'a REAL mum does everything for their kids' 'A REAL mother keeps the house clean' FFS A real mum spends time with her kids

I was working out what I would expect my kids to be able to do and I think by 7 DD1 should be able to get her own breakfast (and bring me a cup of tea in bed ;) ) She is nearly 6 and already sometimes gets up, gets dressed (house rule, dressed before TV in the morning) and raids the fridge for 'breakfast' (yoghurt, mini pepperami) or has a peice of bread. Of course I get up and get her breakfast and make her lunch but I could understnad Jojo's point. Unsure about a roaming 2 yr old though.

Gwenick · 03/02/2005 12:26

Yes last night's was interesting - a nice balance somewhere between Jojo's they have to do 99% of the chores and be independent - and Dawn's - you should cater on your kids hand and foot is ideal.

my DS1 could probably get his own breakfast if he could reach the cupboard - but he's still only 4. But by the time he's 7 or 8 I expect him a) to be tall enough to reach and b) mature enough to manage to get a box of cereal out of the cupboard, get the mlk from the fridge and put the two together. And also by that age I'll be expecting to 'tidy' his room although I expect I'll still be hoovering it and polishing stuff.

crunchie · 03/02/2005 12:28

Between wife swap and brat camp we will get our kids sorted.
