The whole thing is bloody ridiculous - because like you say how could they have had a trial without that evidence? It made me laugh when Graham’s explanation for when he was found at the bottom of the cliff by Billy and Priya was that his SAS training had taught him to hold his breath! 🤣

Yes I found that hilarious as well 🤣 SAS teaches you to hold your breathe long enough to play dead 🤣

JaneJeffer · 21/01/2026 14:08

I watched the whole thing again and the speed Graham had to speak at to fit all that information into the episode was hilarious.

It’s all reached such a ludicrous stage it wouldn’t surprise me if Celia came strolling into the village with Anthony.

2 vile characters who were killed off rather than face justice. A tiny little bit of me thinks Celia is alive somewhere. I’d be happy if she was so we could see her pay for her evil crimes.

Maybe Anthony is the powerful man 🤣

And turn grey! 🤣 I expect the explanation for that is something like he had probably conveniently packed some grey make up in his pocket because his SAS training always insisted upon it incase he ever needed to play dead!

There was an awful lot of information and we still don't know the half of it 🤣 Hats off to Andrew Scarborough, I bet he was ready to pass out (and play dead again!) at the end of the episode.

JaneJeffer · 21/01/2026 14:25

I had visions of him being delighted to come back and then they handed him that script - he used to be a man of few words 😂

He did didn't he. Graham was more brooding and silent but last night he was like the Duracell bunny 🤣

JaneJeffer · 21/01/2026 14:31

🤣

I think the soap awards should have a new category..;

The Most Ludicrous Story line .

I know there are a fair few contenders , but Graham being taught by the SAS , how to play dead and hold his breath for hours AND escape from the Mourgue was clutching at straws way of getting him back !!!

I can imagine the scriptwriters , sitting around the big table , sharing Haribo sweets and excitedly talking in their little Haribo voices all their new ideas !

I have decided not to try and make head nor tale of it ..and just go with the flow ...and buy a big bag of Haribo sweets 😅😅😂!!

TellingBone · 21/01/2026 15:01

Remind me - did John say that Anthony wasn't really under the walnut whip? Or did somebody dig there and there was nothing? Bodies everywhere then they're not.

Maybe Graham could explain it to me in three sentences.

He told Caleb where he was really buried. Caleb started digging and promptly threw up when he found the body. As far as I could make out he then moved it elsewhere.

Last night's episode was ridiculous. Hopefully tonight's will be a bit more realistic. I really thought these flashback episodes would give us answers but we're none the wiser

From what I’ve read the actual answer will be in Thursday’s episode, but Emmerdale scriptwriters seem to be a law unto themselves, so who knows. It’s probably going to be something ridiculous and probably none of the “suspects” - I think they will all be red herrings!

PrincessScarlett · 21/01/2026 15:49

Agree that all the suspects will be red herrings.

Bonbon21 · 21/01/2026 16:06

I think the writers have backed themselves into so many corners, they have just decided to offload all the shit and start again with a clean slate.
Come the end of the month we will have a totally different lot of storylines and none of this will ever be referred to again.

Maybe it was Claudette. Ray took the piss out of her tea cosy hat and she finally flipped.

lucertola28 · 21/01/2026 16:47

Who was the guy Graham was beating up in the flashback? Was that Pierce? (I didn't watch Emmerdale until recently) I was confused as Graham said something like 'Then Pierce came out of nowhere' so I thought that was the guy in car who hit him 😅😅 but was that someone else?

Thanks

Yes Graham beat up Pierce who then mowed him down in return

Ah, thank you, that makes sense now!

JaneJeffer · 21/01/2026 18:11

And @lucertola28 Al told Kim he had killed Graham because she had said she would pay him to do so (just in case that part was confusing too)

Starandflowers · 21/01/2026 18:43

Last nights episode was one of the worse half hours of TV in a long time and that’s saying something. Story was awful and the acting was even worse
