There are more questions than answers...

Apologies if this has been covered, but I’ve lost track of the thread. Much has been made of Jai being Laurel’s ex and the whole “Is he still carrying a torch and trying to protect her?” angle, but no one seems to mention that Laurel is also Marlon’s ex-wife. Surely this doubles her connection to the situation? Also, wasn’t it only about a year ago that Laurel thought she’d accidentally killed Anthony? She certainly leads a dramatic life for a middle-mannered vicar’s widow!

I’ve also realised as I type this that Jai’s second wife was the sister of the man who married his first wife, and his third wife was the ex-wife of his first wife’s cousin, whose first marriage broke up because he slept with said cousin. Which actually makes Laurel’s life seem a bit more normal.

Sorry, just had to laugh at your post, thank goodness it’s about a soap and not real life.

I’m loving Emmerdale at the moment, so many twists and turns with Graham turning up, poor Rhona, more upset.

Actually, I think Paddy wins the prize for the weirdest romantic history (amongst some stiff competition):

First wife - was paid by his mother to marry her cousin instead.

Second wife - widow of said cousin.

Third wife - the mother of his best friend’s son. Later reunited with and married best friend.

Fourth wife - cousin of first wife. Cousin of second wife by marriage.

Fifth wife - first wife.

God knows how Padfy and Marlon have 9 (I think) marriages between them. It's not their good looks or magnetic personalities for sure!

Every soap opera seems to have at least one man who continues to attract women year after year, despite all the evidence suggesting they’re a bad bet (before you even consider attractiveness).

Why did Ray ask Laurel if she took milk in her tea? Surely he’d know?

Just watched last night’s, nice to see Joe A in it, much better actor than the rest. Think Laurel looks rubbish next to him. Think he will outshine whoever else is set up as killer in this weeks episodes.

I find Joe a bit hammy in this!

I was really hoping his character was going to be reformed by Laurel and stay in it. I liked him in it, I was gutted when they killed him off.

I’m just grateful Sarah wasn’t in last nights episode.

I've fallen down the Brooklyn Beckham rabbit hole which has taken precedence over Emmerdale today😂.

But where's Angel, Carl and Elliott? Why do we never see them?

I keep seeing the picture of Ashley on Laurel's sideboard and thinking what would he say seeing Arthur all grown up, standing up for Laurel and Laurel dating a drug dealing, slavery king.
