One thing is they said the identity of the ST would never be revealed. What if they aren't revealed to us and only to the Traitors?

Oh that would be so annoying - surely not - really diff filming

they prob said that generally at the beginning maybe?

Sievecandle · 05/01/2026 20:10

I don't think Harriet can be the ST as it would be pretty bold for a traitor to lead a charge against another traitor at this stage of the game, no? I mean, I know traitors are treacherous but they are also not supposed to reveal other traitors either (which must be a tricky line to follow sometimes). My money is on Ellie as ST.

RescueMeFromThisSilliness · 05/01/2026 20:49

Lets not have spoilers on this or other MN threads please. Feel free to have a look elsewhere, but I'd much rather find out as it is broadcast. Many thanks. 🙂

Eh? When did Claudia say never revealed.

I thought that's the whole idea of the cliffhanger! So that we didn't find out until the next episode.

What always gets me is that the first group down to breakfast just enter the room without knocking and then are surprised that they are 'first down'!! Subsequent groups always knock on the door. How do the first group know not to knock?

The knock is easily edited out in post production.

No they didn't...

Changingplace · 05/01/2026 21:13

Seasidewalker · 05/01/2026 15:23

Yes that's what I mean, post production will know when they had to unveil the ST so they have the ability to show us the potential ST's in the earlier shows which we had read as too obvious as I don't think anyone expected them to reveal the ST this early

The plan of when the ST would be revealed would’ve been planned, to happen when the first traitor was banished, but production wouldn’t have known that would be this early.

I guess otherwise, if the traitors had to recruit they may have recruited the ST?

I wonder if now, Claudia will ‘recruit’ a new ST?

Rictasmorticia · 05/01/2026 21:19

I hope not. I be completely pissed off knowing I was not going to be able to murder who I wanted.

I hope not. It's an unfair enough game without so much chopping and changing that nobody can work anything out.

Please don’t post spoilers, it’s easy to go off and investigate if you want

I won’t - it wasn’t a spoiler just a news article about some of the contestants

someone will prob bring the info but it won’t be me!!

I can’t see how you’ll all go along without discussing what’s in papers

I don’t remember the last time I read a paper!

I have seen something posted online though.

Except that the producers manipulate the viewers.

That's why it really is like us playing the game! Viewers vs producers trying to outsmart each other. Trying to work out what the producers are trying to make us think, are they double bluffing with their edits of Fiona/Sam doing/saying sneaky/cryptic things, what background of person would they choose etc etc - it's so fun!

Nice of you to give everyone permission to feel free to have a look elsewhere Wink

Seriously, while it's not a spoiler in the traditional sense, and has actually been mentioned on these threads already IIRC, if you really want to avoid finding out then don't look on X. Or Reddit. Or Facebook. Or Instagram.

And I suggest you ask the OP to kindly add a line in the next thread starter post saying something like 'no spoilers please, of any type', because there hasn't been a stated rule so far.

That is a good point.

I don't think it's Fiona, she's a local government officer and my 'theory' is that her job involves taking businesses to court for breaking regulations, and Hugo and her maybe discussed that once, which is why he said about having prosecuted. That's why Fiona says there's more than meets the eye to her. Just a theory 🤣

I'm now thinking Sam, or one of the younger ones.

Ah so long to wait 😄

My gut instinct is Fiona

Changingplace · 05/01/2026 22:46

EchoedSilence · 04/01/2026 14:49

I like the ST twist. It made me feel a bit like I was also playing the game.

I think it shows they’ve listened to feedback too, I read quite a few comments online during the last series that viewers wanted a version where they didn’t know who the traitors were so it’s an interesting twist :)

ThatCyanCat · 05/01/2026 22:58

Changingplace · 05/01/2026 22:41

Nah...you are supposed to have a chance of working things out. If they chop and change too much all the time, you never have a sustained situation long enough to have anything to go on. We all know they've got to keep a traitor in until the last episode, but there's such a thing as messing with it too much. Then there's no point to the game at all; it's all become so randomised, there's no point in discussions or gut instincts or observation.

I know it's an unfair guessing game, but you need to give players a chance to do better than pure randomisation.

I'm sorry if you were miffed by my post as that was not my intention. I'm not giving people 'permission' to look elsewhere, people will already be doing that if they want to, all I'm asking is that spoilers don't spoil it for those of us who don't want that. If people want spoilers, then there are plenty of other places online they can do that.

There is a normal convention on these MN 'live' tv threads of not posting spoilers, which is totally reasonable. And I'm not the only person who has asked on this one anyway.

I don't use X, Reddit or Instagram, and my FB feed has other stuff on it, so I'm not going to encounter anything that way.

Piknik · 06/01/2026 00:00

Ellie's "secret traitor" comment could have been a red-herring, but it's not a phrase that has been used before. The concept of a 'secret traitor' doesn't exist as far as the Faithful are concerned and a 'generic' Traitor is secret by default. I was thinking it might be her already just for being so quiet at the Round Table so as soon as she said it, it sort of compounded that feeling.

My second choice would be Harriet. She was so very confident about Hugo, and excellent at turning the group, so if she isn't the ST, then she is a brilliant Faithful.

I was teasing you, as I found your tone quite Thread Head Girl.

I've been on many live MN tv threads, including for past series of the Traitors. Sometimes people have posted quasi 'spoilers' that are out in the media, like this one, and this particular one has definitely been said in relation to the media on this thread before.

But it wasn't me who first raised it, or who wanted to post about it so, cool cool cool Smile

ThatBrickHiker · 06/01/2026 08:16

Oneforallandallforone · 04/01/2026 15:09

It would be great if it was her!

Yes! Because she knew he was a traitor! She couldn't lose!

CharlotteRumpling · 06/01/2026 08:18

I don't think Harriet would draw attention to herself if she was an ST. People will be looking at her now.
Ellie has been very quiet and actually used the phrase ' Secret Traitor'. Not a phrase generally used.

Neighull · 06/01/2026 08:23

I believe the ST is Ross.
I think he put Netty on the hitlist because he genuinely wanted his connection out and because it would be too blatantly linked back to him for him to possibly be considered a traitor.
Its a high risk strategy though.

I dont think production would have chosen 4 white traitors.
