Apologies, I can’t see another thread so just starting this one in anticipation.

Can’t wait to see what the red cloak is all about!

I think the person in the shot was a man, as they seemed tall and broad shouldered, but it may not have been the actual ST. A tall, broad shouldered person makes a more impressive sight. Also, a small person might be too easy to guess.

I think the secret traitor shots we've seen is a member of the production crew.

Silverbirchleaf · 01/01/2026 21:39

Possibly the Secret traitor will join the regular Traitors when the list of potential murder victims reduce.

Agreed. Also I think you can't read anything into the handwriting of the shortliist as I suspect a runner writes the names down to make sure they are correct and there is no.confusion (given the ability of many of the contestants to mis-spell names at the roundtable).

Yeah, a tall, broad one, for the best shot.

And yeah...the ST will need to keep several names off the list to stop themselves being outed to the others, and who knows who among them will get banished? So they probably won't get to the end; the Traitors will gang up.

PeonyPatch · 01/01/2026 21:26

I’d pick Maz for the chop too. But DH just said to me why go for him when he so obviously seems like a faithful 🤷‍♀️ I dunno if I agree with him tho I think anyone is game right now

I think ST should try to bump off obvious faithfuls.

And maybe pick on one person every time completely randomly so the ordinary traitors think there's something to look out for in interactions when there isn't.

Completely mess with their heads.

dayswithaY · 01/01/2026 21:41

What happens if the Secret Traitor gets banished at the Round Table, do they confess - or will they just be replaced therefore keeping it secret?

Surely the Traitors will work out quite soon who the Secret Traitor if they keep a tally of who is on the shortlist for murder, as obviously they’ll never put their own name. Can the Traitors banish them once they’ve worked it out?

Ross and Netty knowing each other seems like too much of a coincidence.

Secret mother and daughter seems a bit predictable now.

pouletvous · 01/01/2026 21:42

The ST cannot be banished. Somehow production have to engineer that but they will have to reveal the ST identity before long. It cannot work unless all
the traitors are conspiring together

ThatCyanCat · 01/01/2026 21:42

Anyone who knows all the identities is a threat to everyone. Like that Seer stuff that totally backfired.

suggestionsplease1 · 01/01/2026 21:43

I reckon they don't reveal if the mystery traitor gets banished, but another one gets secretly selected by Claudia if it happens (and each time if it happens more than once) and then they have the final where we still don't know if there is a mystery traitor in the mix, and then an episode where they walk through all the manoeuvrings of the mystery traitor(s).

ThatCyanCat · 01/01/2026 21:43

I guess a new ST can be recruited by production.

Will the ST deliberately keep them off same few names off the list maybe?

WonderfulSmith · 01/01/2026 21:45

Just read this on BBC news.

Netty and Ross recognised each other when getting out of their cars as they arrived at the Ardross Castle, as they have a mutual friend.
Interestingly, this was not a deliberate piece of casting by producers. Although previous series have seen couples or family members cast together, the team behind the show did not know the nature of Ross and Netty’s connection.
Speaking to journalists at the series launch last month, executive producer Mike Cotton said the link between them “was not intentional at all, we cast them as individuals”.
“We do really lengthy background checks on who takes part, and as part of that we discovered that they [Netty and Ross] follow each other on social media,” he explained.
“So we knew there was a tenuous link, but we didn't know whether they would recognise each other, or how they would react.”

BeaLola · 01/01/2026 21:46

Was watching on catch up

I was thinking that Judy was the ST until it was revealed she is Roxy's Mum - I don't think either of them could be the ST.

I also agree that the shots of ST are production staff. But assuming the ST wrote the shortlist of names I did think that the handwriting looked very feminine.

ThatCyanCat · 01/01/2026 21:46

Maybe it would have been better if the Traitors provided the shortlist and the ST chose the murder.

Newgirls · 01/01/2026 21:47

They will want ST to stay in a while so my guess is not the police detective. She’s great and hope she stays a long time but she’s vulnerable

netty seems lovely hope she isn’t murdered

i reckon Harriet for ST as she’s slightly under the radar so far

WonderfulSmith · 01/01/2026 21:48

ALERT ALERT. Richard and Marina have done a podcast about the episode.

mumofoneAloneandwell · 01/01/2026 21:48

Surely the st can be banished

that’s how the traitors will catch them!

Newgirls · 01/01/2026 21:48

I think Judy is at risk as she did an obvious head turn when they took their blindfolds off - I don’t think she is one but they might think an older woman with black skin is a likely bbc candidate for traitor which makes her vulnerable. Shame as the daughter connection is interesting

They must be able to be banished otherwise if they get chosen by most people at the round table what happens???

Call me naive but I believe this

VictoriaEra · 01/01/2026 21:51

Not read every post, but convinced secret traitor is Fiona. Playing a little too ditsy. Also quite well featured - which the ST will be. That’s where my money is going.

Yeah. Nobody can say it but they've always had a minority woman as a Traitor before, so I'd also think that's likely.

Not actually sure I saw Harriet after the initial shot.
