Well I would refute that. I think her VW was actually quite sparse on content but she does a great job of performing the routine.
Lewis's salsa wasn't my cup of tea but it was packed with content. If he'd been up against anyone but Amber, he'd be through I think.

Well, I half-called it; thought Lewis was going, but I imagined it was going to be him and Bal. I think he and Katya both came across as very sore losers. Although what was Amber on about, them being her biggest supporters?
Bal will go next week, sadly. She looked like she genuinely didn't know they were doing two dances!
Loved Karen's reaction to going through.

Quite liked the Cell Block Tango routine, and Karen and Luba were hot stuff.

Amber is a fabulous dancer - but she was a fabulous dancer before she started strictly.

Gutted. It’s a popularity contest rather than a dancing competition. Lewis’s music and choreography were awful- too frantic. Don’t think I will bother watching the rest now, not invested in anyone left.

I think George should go!!

Balvinders was better choreography and it was cleaner. Lewis had a weird dance that I agree wasn’t the best, but I still think he was better at dancing than everyone apart from Amber last night, I am judging who is the better dancer, not who had the better dance. The song and choreography isn’t Lewis’s fault. He did what he could with what he was given and I still think he danced better than everyone else

I thought he was very gracious actually. Katya was obviously very upset at being so close to the final with someone as talented as Lewis.

Why are people making a thing about Amver mentioning Lewis being her number one fan? All she meant was that he has always been supportive. Not literally being a fan boy.

Titanic the Musical is fine. In the productions I’ve seen a curtain comes down near the end with the names of everyone who died, and several of the characters discuss how the disaster could have been prevented.

A filmed version of a 2023 production has been shown on Sky Arts a couple of times. I’d recommend it. Here’s a link to a trailer for another production.

Titanique is something quite else.

I suppose next week it’ll be Amber v someone, and that person will go.

The results show is very dull. Too much filler. It needs to be more concise and crisp. And broadcast live!

Katya (and Lewis) clearly didn’t expect to go as they hadn’t prepared anything for their final dance.

That was the worst final dance I've ever seen.
Katya genuinely looked distraught, I've never seen her so upset.

That Titanique thing was just awful.

As to how can Balvinder still be in the competition when she was in the DO so often at the start I think two things:

In the early programmes, there were so many other people to vote for, it’s not that people voted against her.

The ‘journey’. She’s got better.

I think Bal has got better, and I think the partnership with Julian has improved. He's lovely and they've worked well together.

I think it's been a bit of a tradition to thank in sign language ever since Rose Ayling-Ellis was in Strictly.

That was lovely when Rose did it. It's very annoying now.

I hope it's George and Amber in the final. I don't like other of the others so one of them can go next week 😂!

I only watch Strictly for the dancing. I’m not arsed about the story or the journey or the dead nana. You can either dance or you can’t dance. I don’t care if you’ve got a dance background or no experience. I just want to watch good dancing.

Lewis being out makes no sense to me, with Bal and Karen and George still in. I don’t think I can be bothered to watch any more.

I think Bal will go next week but if she's beaten by Amber in a dance off she can go with her head held high.

How so? It's just someone touching their chin with their fingertips and presumably means a lot to the deaf community to be included rather than othered.

I agree she really didn’t deserve the dance off and she was the stronger dancer tonight. I thought Balvinder would be going .
i imagine Balvinder will go next week unless she’s against Karen then it comes down to how Karen does.

after watch week 1 I predicted who would be in the final. I said-

I thought Alex would make it! Sad she burned out.
I thought George would be gone, he had some poor dances and didn't seem to have the work ethic.

I posted around the mid way point that I hoped Karen made the final and got loads of replies that if there was anyone other than Amber and Lewis in the final then it'd most likely be Vicky or Alex.

Just shows what a fluid beast this show is, you literally never know what'll happen next.

Yes, I think Shirley told Vicki that she'd definitely be a finalist.

It's going to be a different pro lifting the Glitterball whoever wins.

I wondered about Katya calling Lewis respectful etc in her goodbyes, was shade against Wynne? Might be reading too much into it though.

Why would it have anything to do with Wynne?

She's said quite early on about Lewis that he was an "old soul and a gentleman". He offers to carry her bags, buy her coffee and little things like that. She is just sharing her tribute to a partner who she is clearly in awe of.
