Mine's the Harvey ads by Thinkbox the advertising agency. Fantastic.

Lots of these. The Hamlet ad in the photo booth with the comb over

Cats with thumbs
Campari
The ads with Mel someone or other, the model turned TV presenter, very funny
Kitkat with the roller skating pandas
Secret lemonade drinker, I think Elvis Costellos dad wrote the theme tune to that

The 2-minute long Honda Accord ad - 'The Cog' was so well done, with no sound at all except for the many moving car parts, until PJ O'Rourke comes on right at the end and the car stereo starts.

ForPearlViper · 24/11/2025 22:36

There was a gloriously bonkers one with roller skating pandas for Kit Kat. Remains my favourite ad ever.

Ah, yes - nothing beats a lovely family sing-song around the piano!

Irn Bru and Tunnocks both do amazing adverts.

I used to be a man ..cut to mum having a shave🤣🤣

Another vote for the yellow pages ads.

Also one from my early 20s I think so maybe 1994 called Can’t Wait, when a woman was on a packed train with new clothes from French Connection that she loved so much she changed into them on the train. I’ve never found it online.

“ French Connection. Clothes you cant wait to get into”

TwelvePiecesOfFlair · 24/11/2025 22:47

I love the Maureen lipman one too. And the one where she finds out her family are visiting and says “ but I’ve got nothing in!” Cut to groaning fridge 😁

doeadeer2 · 24/11/2025 22:47

Not favourites as such but the tango adverts are always very memorable.
Belly’s gonna get ya.
Daddy or chips.
And the Nicole/Papa advert for a car.

Wouldn’t call them favourites but they stick in my brain and I suppose that makes them good advertising.

The Oxo ad with Lynda Bellingham that ends with "...and Michael, remember Preston?"

CAMHShelp · 24/11/2025 23:01

One about a bucket. I felt so sad for the bucket.

FletchFan · 24/11/2025 23:04

I've always quite liked the Christmas one when the guy learned to skateboard. John Lewis I think. Always pulled a heart string.

I also like the other more recent Christmas one with the young lad and his mum. McDonalds I think. All about him growing up too fast.

LeftBoobGoneRogue · 24/11/2025 23:10

The 1970s Cadbury Smash alien adverts….then they small them all to bits.
the advert was so much better than the actual product. Instant mash is horrible.

Oh my God, that JL one had me in floods.

I've just re-watched it. Also remember how good the version of 'All the Small Things' was too.

Cadburys Smash aliens discussing mashed potatoes

RuudGullitOnAShed · 24/11/2025 23:20

The Accrington Stanley milk advert.

A VW Golf one from the eighties where a woman leaves a mews house and discards a ring and fur coat then decided not to drop the golf keys down the drain and drives off

The JE Hartley yellow pages ads

IndigoIsMyFavouriteColour · 24/11/2025 23:21

The British Gas adverts with the penguins

Elvis Costello 👍🏼

The Boddington's beer ads - for instance the one where the woman appears to be advertising face cream.
Surreal Dunlop tyre ad with the Venus in Furs song

Another good one is the 'Daddy or chips?' one

DoYouReally · 24/11/2025 23:27

Can't link it but Esat Digifone's "Hello Kate, it's me the guy from the bar"

RecordBreakers · 24/11/2025 23:33

The one where they got a load of retired footballers - including World Cup Winners, but all England stars to turn out and play a Sunday League game. Just so many touches that were brilliant and true to life.

I also likes the Milk Marketing Board ones "Who the heck are Accrington Stanley?" in particular.

The Joan Collins / Leonard Rossiter Martini one

The Cadbury Gorilla

The 'Smash' ones

Luton Airport

The Hovis Ad (the music, the nostalgia)

Paperclipp · 24/11/2025 23:33

Levi’s 1994 ‘Creek’ with its Ansel Adams inspired backdrop, coming of age storyline and brilliant use of Stiltskin’s Inside Intro..all the things
