Oh I love an OTT Manc - Emmerdale had one recently and he was hilarious but now he’s gone and it’s very depressing. I am enjoying the lads in the jungle.

I don't actually mind Aitch ( I have teenaged girls who have, at various times, loved him).

But I am a terrible snob, and made sure my 3 dc don't sound like the Gallaghers- the Shameless ones or the Oasis ones.

I think I’ve only seen a few minutes of Mrs Browns Boys when I’ve been waiting for something else to come on - dreadful!

We can always find something totally unrelated to tennis to talk about.

It's on the telly, anyway (tenuous).

I have never watched Mrs Brown’s Boys beyond the trailers that get shown before other programmes - and the trailers were quite enough thanks. I’ve never met anyone who admits to watching it, goodness knows why it’s still on.

I have no idea who Aitch or Angry Ginge are!

I might watch the Battle of the Sexes match. At the very least if it gets good ratings it might encourage BBC to show more tennis. I might keep the volume down though.

Good point, Chessie that it might make them show more tennis. Although, since it's on on the Sunday afternoon, I am not hopeful that many will watch. Unless people will just be lounging around too tired and hungover to realise what day it is/what they are watching .

As for Mrs Brown's Boys- if MN is anything to go by, NO-ONE admits to watching it, and goodness knows what dirt Brendan O'Carroll has on someone at the Beeb to justify it's constant presence in the Christmas line-up!

I'm really hacked off at the BBC for broadcasting the battle of the sexes. Especially as someone who doesn't have Sky, TNT or whatever, so unable to watch a lot of tennis easily. My licence fee money being thrown at shit like this

For those that haven't seen it yet, there is a sort of behind the scenes film on YouTube of Rafa's French Open presentation ceremony. Only about 10 minutes long but quite sweet with baby Rafa aswell. Just try to ignore the elephant Serb in the room.

I’ll look out for the Rafa thing kazza - I would ask you for a link but I know that I wouldn’t be able to do that if someone asked me

Did you catch the Tennis Podcast interview with Andy Murray? I only listened to the podcast - it was interesting hearing him talk about his daughter but he does get a bit obsessed about the fluffiness of tennis balls!

I keep seeing ads for Christmas Mrs Brown Boys - think I might have to cancel my TV licence!

I watched Andy on TTP on YouTube after watching Rafa. Not impressed with him saying he gets bored watching 5 set matches, although he enjoyed playing them!

I have never watched Mrs Brown's Boys and I'm certainly not going to start now. More shit that the licence fee is being wasted on
