Ons Jabeur is pregnant, really happy for her. I remember her saying she needed to win a slam so she could have a baby, which always seemed like unnecessary pressure.

I am thrilled for Ons- though not surprised. I had a feeling when she took a break that this was her reason for doing so, and I am so glad it has worked out.
Ultimately, sacrificing her strong wish for a family to win a slam, may have only ended in heartache.

My hope for next year, is that they start January by not mentioning Jannik's drugs ban ever again.

Has Felix got really grubby trainers? Or is it just the colour? Either way, they clash with the whiter socks, and I don't like them.

I love how they have written Felix off already.

I mean , he is likely to lose. But give the bloke a chance. It's the 4th game (and he's a decent player indoors).

It makes me laugh how Jannik is trying hard to make the whole fox thing happen and meanwhile the crowd is all about carrots.

I really like Jannik- but as we pointed out with Paris, maybe Felix kept him waiting after Jannik was playing the 'wounded animal' card- and still won the match.

I do feel for Felix- he has probably pushed himself so hard to get here- which shows there is a big gulf really between the top 2- and numbers 7/8.

It’s really a shame, this could be over quickly.

And because of the (ahem) maths of qualification, a one-sided loss could be the end of Felix’s semifinal hopes even if he’s fit to play.

In a way, i feel for Felix a little more than Lore (though I'm more of a Lore fan). Felix has qualified before, and probably really wanted to make something of this chance. It's fairly usual for players in their first go, to lose all matches- happened to Daniil-- and he ended up winning the whole thing the following year!

I feel like Felix could withdraw-but I thought that about Lore.

Poor Felix- I get what Jonathan is saying- Felix could have retired, and the crowd would have got no match at all.

Yeah it’s really unfortunate, Felix probably fancied his chances of qualifying second in his group. If he withdraws I think Sasha would come in?
