Sorry, this is so boring that there's 0 thread title inspiration. We just keep on being blindsighted and mugged off and nobody has our backs.

I mean, if Ash said it like “oh there’s naked woman in front of me” rather than “Oh you look hot as hell” then I kind of see where Grace is coming from, around it feeling impersonal. It’s more of a he’s turned on by a naked woman, than by her being the naked woman.

But, if that was what was said, I also feel she’s overthinking it a bit too much and taking it a bit too personally.

Grace wants the exact right words, and Ash can’t deliver them. They’re just not suited. They’re both valid in their feelings and they’re struggling to understand each other. Knock it on the head guys. It’s never going to work.

I like grace and do see where she's coming from. A few years ago I'd have laughed, these days I'm older and would raise an eyebrow. I also see that some wouldn't be bothered but I don't think there's anything wrong with the boundaries Grace has. I don't think ash means any harm, he just doesn't get why what he says lands the way it does. They just aren't suited.

I like Leigh too as she's upfront and honest but in a good way imo.

No wonder she's exhausted all the time! It must be tiring to be permanently seeking offence.

I think Ash is someone who says what he thinks and doesn’t necessarily think about the wording. In his head, he’s giving a compliment.

And in fairness, many of us wouldn’t be bothered by his wording, we’d get what he meant. And I think that’s what he means when he says she doesn’t ’get him’.

Whereas Grace needs specific wording. She needs things said in a way that are palatable to her. And if they’re not said in that manner she takes offence. And Ash isn’t used to a woman that scrutinises his words that much.

They’re just opposite ends of the spectrum.
