The fact he was so impressed with her for never cooking before is actually an important lesson in how men behave when they like a woman. All the bending over backwards making them meals in the world won't make them fancy you if they don't. The girl they really like can serve them popcorn and they will be over the moon with it compared to the three course meal you served them that they took for granted
