I don’t actually follow Nicks logic regarding the shields. He said he is keeping more faithful safe but the shields only keep you safe for one night. There was obviously some faithfuls in both teams, numbers wise, and the traitors are going to kill someone either way.

If there were specific people he was trying to protect it would have made more sense but protecting more people doesn’t make sense to me because only one person dies anyway. If I were in his team I’d be pissed off and suspicious.

I am finding it increasingly annoying as a programme. I think there is a flaw in the game if you don't identify any traitors. I know it's pointless as a faithful strategy as they just recruit, but it makes it so very samey as there is no change in the dynamics and no catharsis of a faithful 'win'. It's possibly a result of the very low stakes for the celebrities, it matters much less for them to win than to have their 'brand' tarnished.

I also feel really sorry for Nico and the young ones generally. I assume he was hoping for some mainstream cross over. But the established household names knifed him before we could get to know him.

I accept I may not be average viewer. My last unpopular opinion is thatvI love the camp missions and fast forward through the round table bit as I hate the baseless arguments.

The only flaw is that people think they can identify a traitor when they have no evidence. Traitors do get found but it's as much to do with chance as anything. This lot have just been unlucky - or lucky, depending on which way you want it to go.

When Alan forgot he had a shield Joe just shook his head and said I give up. Yet all that evening he’d been like a jack Russell with a rat at everyone else’s slips. It just didn’t make sense to me that he just laughed that away. The mood he was in he’d have been straight onto it, pushing.

most likely because no one listens to him,I imagine he is super competitive.
still like him best.
Cat annoyed me, hope they suss her out soon. Alan is really bitchy. Kate is also super annoying.
surely they have to banish JW.

I wasn't particularly find of Joe to start with, but I do find it amusing how posters have gone from drooling over him with his eyes and thighs, to denouncing him for being aggressive at the round table.

The contestants are always at their worst at the round table. Last few times people were saying it's Mark, a bit before that people were saying Ruth.

Again, I'm not defending Joe, but I don't find his behaviour any worse than what I've seen so far in this series or any other series of Traitors.

I find it amusing too. Never understood the adoration, but I’m old. Everyone was adamant that Alan would be a funny but useless traitor too when it was first revealed that he was. That view changed too!

Surely the traitors need to find a credible reason to say why they are all voting for the same faithful at the round table now, and they stand a good chance of overpowering the votes now that there are so few faithfuls left? Even if nobody else votes with them, three votes should have a good chance of working.

CaveMum · 24/10/2025 09:51

Definitely give this week’s TRIE Traitors podcast episode a listen. So good as always!

Fun takeaways:

The drivers of the cars are the production crew - they like to listen in on the conversations. Richard and Marina (who both admit they can’t drive) thought they had stunt drivers based on the choreography of them pealing off/stopping in dead straight lines, driving through the portico, etc.

They discuss candidates for series 2 of Cekeb Traitors (if it happens). Their one red line is absolutely no politicians!

HarrietteVane · 24/10/2025 09:54

I spend a lot of my time on rugby one way or another so I have a high threshold for aggression - provided it's channelled for something productive. Appreciate I'm unusual in this respect and others just hate it.

JM is at about 2 / 10 for how intimidating he can be....he probably just thinks he's being politely purposeful 😀. But I bet it's an unusual thing for the celebrities to experience and it's certainly getting some of them in a flap, so I think it's something worth trying.

Really ashamed that I didn't feel the same way about Ruth's directness / aggression😳. I need to have a hard word with myself on that.

JoeMarlerseyes · 24/10/2025 09:59

can I politely ask that we don't post "spoilers" about other traitor series , there might be new to the show people who will now watch them.

But surely that's why we love programmes like this? Especially 'celebrity ' ones? We relish seeing under the surface when these well known people are in situations out of their control. We love seeing what might be the 'mask slip' or the true colours showing. Or simply how such an odd situation impacts different people.
The editing is of course used to maximise (or manipulate) this too.

I agree in principle that people shouldn’t post outright spoilers, but the other UK series’ are all 9+ months old so it’s not really fair to expect people not to draw comparisons and want to talk about it.

There’s nothing stopping people binge watching the old series on iPlayer Friday-Tuesday each week to catch up 😜

Untailored · 24/10/2025 10:10

As a first time watcher of Traitors, I have a couple of questions.

How come they change their minds so quickly? Last time half the table voted for David and this time he barely gets a mention. People seem to get ‘heat’ one night and then it’s all forgotten the next.

The other thing is that it seems to be a game of chance - there is literally nothing to go on to tell who is a traitor. It seems getting one is more luck than judgment.

Is it the same in the normal version?

LondonPapa · 24/10/2025 10:12

I’ve just finished watching the episode again and they all really don’t take Alan seriously. They think he’s dumb as rocks, and when he slips up, they just go ‘that’s Alan being Alan’. Not a chance he’ll be discovered as a traitor until it is too late.

Re: discussion with JR being powerful so no one is voting for him, that shouldn’t matter. And I think the issue there is, he’s too obvious so they avoided him but now it’s becoming clearer and clearer. Basically, the worst bunch of faithfuls ever.

LittleBitofBread · 24/10/2025 10:14

KidsDoBetter · 23/10/2025 22:40

It’s not the deciding - it’s the additional turret filming and extra cut aways that they do. Must be quite a gap after they all finish the post round table.

But I bet round table is mid afternoon and they black out the windows so that the post round table looks like 9/10pm. All for spooky effect.

I agree, I've never believed that the clock actually strikes at midnight. I think they do the challenge not long after breakfast, then come back for lunch; so the round table can't be later than mid-afternoon.

LittleBitofBread · 24/10/2025 10:15

Ratafia · 24/10/2025 08:36

No, that was definitely directed at Stephen. Alan is getting more and more bitchy as he gets more and more confident. It could be his downfall.

He was talking about SF. But SF found it funny (or at least acted like he did), going 'Wa-hey!'
I mean, he's heard worse.

No, she is Autistic i didn't know about her adhd but I did read somewhere she was Autistic.

I'm sure she said it in one of her to-camera pieces early on.

Reminds me of Strike in The Hallmarked Man!

I liked Jaz. But he pounced too late. And wasn't able to convince anyone.

I think Nick fatally erred by revealing his sabotage plans and will be murdered.

I'm quite surprised he wasn't banished for his sabotage.

It's the same in the ordinary series - we think they must get their minds wiped over night!

JoemarIerseyes · 24/10/2025 10:35

I think Rossy is going to go next round table. And I suggest Joe Marler for a fantastic recruitment because he will have to do a complete 360 in his behavior. It would be a brilliant move!!

I was airline crew for years. My gay male colleagues affectionately called each other old queens all the time. It’s almost said in praise more than an insult. They’d all react like SF did.

@LondonPapa No, that honour goes to the Faithfuls in Traitora Australia S2.

I do wonder whether some of the others are a bit wary of upsetting Johnathan-he’s powerful in their “industry”. I can’t think of any other reason that he seems practically immune.

I completely agree with this. I don't think he would have lasted as long in the non celeb version, or Alan for that matter. One key difference I also notice with the celeb version is how far the traitors have got without turning on each other. It has definitely made them stronger and last longer in my opinion. I wonder will future non celeb traitors pick up on this.

If Nick isn't murdered, then the Traitors will definitely use his admission of sabotaging the game against him to get him banished.

I can see Jonathan Ross bringing it up on the round table and telling Nick he betrayed his team, and then drag JM in furore as well.

Oh, but Alan and Cat were talking about throwing Jonathan under the bus a few episodes ago. Cat pretty much said she was trying to feed Jonathan to the Faithfuls.

Wonderknicks · 24/10/2025 10:53

I have a question about the murders (both in this & the regular version).
We all know they sleep in another hotel near Inverness airport so why the pretence that they are sleeping in the castle & wake up to find they have been murdered. It's a bit of pantomime that makes me wonder about the rest of it (I also read that the turret isn't at the castle but I don't know if that is true).
