Just caught up on last night's episode- what a cliff hanger 😮

Ah, interesting. Surely some of them are staying in the same places though? There can't be 19 different hotels near the castle? Or are they forbidden to have dinner together or whatever in the evenings...?

They all stay in the same hotel but they don't mix. Security guards in the corridors!

Hanschristiananderson · 23/10/2025 19:19

I’m really enjoying this series and I didn’t think I would.

I'm only a year or two younger than Jonathan Ross and I don't really like or admire him despite being a devoted fan of The Last Resort etc at the time.

However, on this show, I think he's coming across quite well. Could all be in the editing of course.

I agree which is quite funny since he’s a traitor

I agree. I’m not a huge fan or reality shows or game shows and generally dislike celeb versions - Strictly is the rare exception.

I have to say this one does work rather well for me, possibly because they have a better quality of celeb than most but its quite fun seeing professional character creators falling into all the same traps as normals 😀

What happens when a tie occurs?

Seriously? Aww, poor slebs. You'd think that miles from anywhere and with nobody else they know around they'd want to hang out together in the evenings... Makes sense though.

I don't think there is much evening though - the gong for their cars goes around midnight. I don't have any feel for what time they are up for breakfast but I imagine it is back to the hotel and straight to bed! (After writing in their notebooks etc)

placemats · 23/10/2025 19:33

Individual lodgings doesn't indicate hotel rooms to me. Anyway there's been a 'leak' though of course it's all rubbish. Bit like the faithfuls trying to find a traitor.

Jonathan could admit it and break the rules, but still the faithfuls would totally ignore and say Kate. Win win win for the Traitors

I find it quite funny that a “bunch of luvvies” seem so wedded to very dated stereotypes of women and alpha males.

Privileged white Stephen Fry is automatically a “big dog” and “too nice” to be a traitor.

Cat is largely overlooked altogether like Lucy - young, female and not loud.
JR is most likely to be a traitor because let’s face it - he’s clever but he’s a bit of a loud common oick not like that nice public school Fry.

Claire was largely overlooked despite being as well educated and qualified as Fry and her success in competitive fields - but hell, she is an older woman. She would have done well as a traitor playing on older woman invisibility.
Alan is just soo lovable and non alpha that he couldn’t possibly be a traitor.

You couldn’t make up the extent to which they are all relying on stereotypes despite so many of them being professionals at presenting fake stereotypes and card carrying social liberals.

I think you are right sadly.

Its maybe fancy lodges attached to a hotel complex or something?

They’re in a pretty bog standard hotel near Inverness Airport. I think the 40 grand they’re being paid makes up for not staying at Gleneagles.

It's David's voice and cool logical reasoning that is so attractive. I thought the group were going to trust him after it went to the head to head voting. But maybe his obvious intelligence is what will get him voted off.

I bet it's not so attractive if you're his partner having a row with him and he's being an irritating smug git! 😂

That’s been true for previous series, but do we know it’s the same now? It’s quite a long way, and there’s some accommodation nearer.

This is what I got when I searched for castle hotels near Alness. The Traitors castle is in Ardross nearby.

Agreed. The amount of nonsense the entertainment industry try to peddle to 'civilians' is insulting to the intelligence.

For me Jonathan Ross is so obvious. He is being uncharacteristically quiet. In particular at the round table. He seems like a different person (obviously I don't know him in real life, caveat)

We see what the editing suite allows us to see, so we never really know. Ross said there is a whole show's worth of hilarious Alan Carr in unused footage.

Yesterday at the round table JR said can I go first? put ideas in front of the group then the people that followed him said we need to look at the people who a leading the debate, suggesting targets etc and never mentioned JR (that we were shown). Either everyone has decided he's deffo a traitor and they are better off keeping him in so they don't have an unknown replacement recruited or they are rather easily lead and have fallen for his deflection.

Pinkbox · 23/10/2025 20:21

A couple of times when Alan has dropped the act and played the game, he’s seemed a bit close to the bone. What I mean is, he’s almost sounded unkind. I’m thinking of when he told someone at breakfast what would happen if they come for him and then the last couple of round tables where he’s accused people. It makes me wonder if Alan being serious is actually not the nicest person in real life.
