It made me laugh when they were trying to guess what actor Tameka had shared a screen with, and someone said ‘if she’d been with Judy Dench she would have mentioned it, as people always tell everyone when they’ve worked with Judy Dench’. And Celia immediately said ‘I’ve worked with Judy Dench. She was lovely’ (or something)!

Cat being told off for not knowing who Helen Mirren is😂

Wasn't that the first night before they met in the tower, so they didn't know who the other traitors were?

My point was more that if you are a faithful you wouldn’t be thinking on that first night what the tower looks like. Your brain would be focussed on who the traitors are
I Believe JR let his guard down because actually he was thinking about the tower. Traitors would be thinking about their next steps ie meeting for the first time in the tower

The fact he said it to Alan is irrelevant, it’s the fact he was thinking it at all.

Wasn’t it a way of implying back that Alan was a traitor? And possibly a threat that if Alan accuses Jonathan, Jonathan would accuse back.

That took me aback. Yeah, she’s only in her mid-20s, but that’s no reason not to have heard of a still-living, still-working, very famous actress across stage and screen.

I didn't see it as a 'guard down' moment, to me it was more of a calculated 'a traitor wouldn't joke about being a traitor so if I do joke about being one people will assume I'm not' moment.

Yes jokey

”I’ll meet you in the tower, haha “

i think he let his guard down there.

Another double bluff…agree

@strawgoh what do you think is going on?

I wish I knew! Just a gut instinct that all is not entirely what we think it is.

Gingercar · 23/10/2025 15:36

Am I evil in thinking leaving it to chance should mean both are banished? That would be a shock to them all, faithful or traitors.

Chance could have four options banish A, banish B, banish A&B, banish no one. We will find out later.

TokyoSushi · 23/10/2025 14:12

Yes!!

The faithfuls wouldn't know which way to turn with Jonathan AND Stephen in there!

Or it could be a spinner with everyone at risk. That could be fun.

No, because at that stage, neither of them knew the other one was a traitor.

TokyoSushi · 23/10/2025 16:00

Who do we think they’ll murder tonight? A quiet one like Lucy? Or somebody like Joe M? Or somebody else?

NewAgeNewMe · 23/10/2025 16:03

I don’t think Lucy has had enough airtime yet. But I’m probably wrong. I usually am.

Lucy has a Shield doesn’t she?

I do wonder a bit at how much research celebs do for shows, though. I watch Taskmaster, and it's very clear that some contestants have watched lots of it, and others haven't watched anything and fall for the most obvious tricks, don't know to look around for solutions, don't know that creative interpretations of the rules can be allowed, etc. And it reflects more on their personal reputation than Traitors I think, so if they can't be bothered to research for that, I don't know whether they would for this

Nick's obviously done his homework - I can't remember what he was talking about in the diary room last night but he referenced a previous series. I haven't seen his series of Taskmaster but I bet he didn't go into that unprepared either!

CaveMum · 23/10/2025 16:11

Yes she got the Tameka question right.

CeliaFarts · 23/10/2025 16:23

If David goes I can almost see them murdering Mark.

Otherwise I think it will be Celia (sadly)

CarlaH · 23/10/2025 16:36

SmallAngryPenguinWoman · 23/10/2025 13:33

They're on cameras probably more than 12 hours a day; you can't broadcast what 19 people are talking about 12 hours a day.
It's edited for entertainment, and as @CaveMum said it's not a show with clues, it's about the psychology of suspecting people... why one person but not another, how people follow a leader....

Someone upthread said production gave clues in previous series... I've seen a lot (ex. NZ) and have never seen production get involved like that.

Fair enough. It just isn't for me so I will see this one out and then not bother again.

Nick, like Jonathan is a gamer. I can’t see any self respecting gamer failing to do their research watching other series. I suspect that is also why he clocked Jonathan so quickly and has cottoned on to Cat.

I think if Traitors illustrates anything its the old truism that “would” and “wouldn’t” are meaningless for human behaviour. I’ve lost count of the times I’ve thought or heard ‘nobody would do that” only to run slap bang into someone doing and saying that exact thing.

I think that is what makes the game so unpredictable and fun - every episode I see someone doing what to me seems absurd or ridiculous and yet it makes sense to them in that time and place.

I saw him interviewed about doing Taskmaster. He turned it down several times as he was worried that he wasn’t funny enough as himself. Alex Horne assured him that the tasks were supposed to be the funny part and that he just had to be himself. IIRC he did all his tasks dressed as a vampire 🤣

He is also a magician isn't he ? Thats all about deception and he is a clever man so he is silently watching them all, .
