Caught up with a few scores from Paris- spent the afternoon in a waiting room waiting for an MRI. My appointment was only 2 and a half hours late.
The wifi was rubbish in the hospital too, so even scorewatching was hit and miss

Arthur Rinderknech is through- and there is potential for a rematch with Valentin, if Valentin wins his first round match against Lehecka. That might be a big ask.

I was half watching Jacob and Andrey. First win for Andrey for a while.

I hope all is well Raahh. Waiting at hospitals is one of my least favourite things to do.

Just turned on the tennis to see how Grigor was doing in his first match back. The main court in Paris has the worst camera angle I’ve ever seen, it’s barely watchable. Grigor won the first set tiebreak against GMP though.

It’s so bad Jane! I’m amazed that they moved to a brand new venue and this is the best they could do.

Oh, I'm fine- after years of moaning about pain in my lower back/hip , I finally went to the GP, had a physio appointment, and they sent me for an MRI for suspected nerve damage. It's probably nothing much.

I'm score watching the Grigor /GMP match- very pleased to see that he's back playing, and the score is looking very good.

I was sad to hear he had split with Bucket Hat Jamie Delgado (who has moved on to Jack Draper, I think).

Valentin has started well- 6-1 in the first set, and 3-1 up in the second. I'm a bit surprised, I thought Jiri would do better against him.

Jiri seems to be on a downer since he lost in Brussels

If I was a member of the tin hat brigade I would point out that it’s rather convenient for the tournament organisers to have a cousins rematch in R2, with the winner likely to play Carlos in R3
