Ice I agree,I really like Daniil, and when he's playing well, he doesn't need the antics . It does him no favours. More often than not, he's the one who suffers (whereas someone like Djok gets fired up by causing issues).

Solid first set from Casper- but Stan was doing well, especially on serve, and he could have turned it around.

Looks like the ATP aren't listening to players, and don't care about the complaints about the length of the tour. Or the issues with Saudi Arabia.
They have just announced that Saudi Arabia will (from 2028) host the 10th Masters 1000 event. So that adds something else to the year. Where will it fit?

I suppose, like Monte Carlo, it could be made non- mandatory. It would have to be, really.

It's just so ridiculous. It will lead to a hierachy of Masters, probably- unless they all have to give the same prize money. For those that are able to pick and choose, that is. The top players will just take the penalties and skip the 'lesser' ones.

And - like Djok seems to do anyway, and pretty much always has- skip 250/500 events. (Unless it suited his purpose at that point in time , or got him a rankings boost ).

I can’t believe they’re adding another masters tournament to the tour - especially in Saudi Arabia - well I can really - it’s not good for players or fans - there will be more and more retirements and injuries - I’m starting to feel a bit sorry for tennis players (unless they play in exhibition tournaments for $$$)
