Excited squeak. Been waiting for this as have seen sooooooooo many trailers for it

finally have a date. Starts sun 5 October and will run for 3w on a Sunday and Monday

The full series of six episodes will become available on ITVX on Sunday 5th October, if you binge don’t reply on here lol 😛😛😘😘

The series, which has been created by Jones and her Maryland co-writer Anne-Marie O'Connor, sees Jones play Bert, a conwoman who is released from prison on compassionate grounds, and calls her friend Sam, played by Whittaker, with the offer to team up and pull off the art heist of the century.

The synopsis for the series says: "Bert and Sam embark on the most audacious of art thefts, gathering a talented team of outcasts to help them plan this audacious crime.

"Whilst the team must overcome numerous challenges before they can pull off the heist, it’s the power struggle between Bert and Sam that threatens to derail their plans and destroy them both.

Set against the epic rolling hills of southern Spain and the dark criminal underbelly that casts a shadow over the glistening coast, Frauds is a complex and addictive story of friendship, deception and survival."

The series also stars Elizabeth Berrington, Christian Cooke, Karan Gill and Talisa García.

Jones has most recently been seen starring in Netflix thriller Hostage (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/hostage-netflix-ending-explained/), while she will also appear in Aimee Lou Wood's upcoming romantic comedy-drama Film Club (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/comedy/film-club-bbc-cast-suranne-jones-newsupdate/).

Meanwhile, Whittaker starred in Toxic Town (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/toxic-town-netflix-cast/) earlier this year and returned to Doctor Who (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/sci-fi/doctor-who-season-16-release-date/) for Ncuti Gatwa's final episode.

Her Paramount+ thriller series One Night (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/one-night-itv-release-date-newsupdate/) has also recently arrived on ITV, and she will soon be seen in the BBC's adaptation of acclaimed theatrical production Dear England (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/dear-england-bbc-jodie-whittaker-cast-newsupdate/).

The cast also features Talisa García, known for roles in Baptiste and Blurred, Elizabeth Berrington (Lost Boys an Fairies, Stella) as magician’s assistant Jackie Diamond, Christian Cooke (Rematch, Love, Rosie) as Bradfordian money lender Deeg and Lee Boardman (Enola Holmes, Andor) as Jackie’s mediocre magician husband Craig.

I can’t believe they have put such rubbish out …😂

ilovebrie8 · 14/10/2025 19:56

Are they that desperate for money as both looking like numpties in this

NeedWineNow · 15/10/2025 22:58

Me and DH are finding it mildly entertaining and will see it out but I'm finding Bert a really irritating character. Mind you, as DH says, I generally find Suranne Jones irritating whatever she's in.

the80sweregreat · 16/10/2025 03:27

Their Spanish is very good ! ( I can’t speak it myself , but I did live there once for a while years ago and it sounds authentic to me !)

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/10/2025 12:32

E5 tonight - I will watch early as working

Suranne Jones looks and acts very vital for someone in the end stages of cancer. Her energy is off the charts!

Having said all that, despite the undertone of aggression from SJ, I'm finding it very dull.

She doesn’t have cancer, she’s just faking it and the prison nurse and prison guard are in on it

JewelleryCat · 19/10/2025 22:39

Either something will happen with the theft or it’ll end on a cliffhanger and like you say blondes, there will be a s2

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/10/2025 14:27

e6 and last one tonight

Ellmau · 20/10/2025 23:49

It was all too drawn out but I liked the twist, and now kind of want a S2.

JewelleryCat · 21/10/2025 00:00

I thought they would do a Thelma and Louise and I didn’t see the double cross coming. If there is a s2, I’m guessing that they’ll be following the money to Italy

BakeOffRewatch · 21/10/2025 09:09

I didn’t see the twist coming at all! Totally focused on the fake cancer story

NeedWineNow · 21/10/2025 09:41

Me and DH actually found the last episode quite tense and didn't see the twist coming. It has definitely been set up for series 2 we thought.

the80sweregreat · 21/10/2025 09:57

It was tense with the women hiding out and I was surprised they were not caught!
How did they get the painting in and out that pram so easily too. She looked so suspicious with all of it and that wouldn’t fit in real life.
i did not see the twist with the ‘ daughter’ ! Why mum didn’t ask for a dna test I’m not sure ? They really took her at her word.

the80sweregreat · 21/10/2025 09:58

I did love Bert saying ‘ we are going to get our fucking money back ‘ ! Made me laugh , even if the whole desks was very hit and miss / far fetched

the80sweregreat · 21/10/2025 09:59
  • drama ! Blooming phone
BakeOffRewatch · 21/10/2025 16:31

I liked it. It was well acted fun heist show, and I like watching Jodie Whittaker. Nice for a Sunday and Monday, something to look forward to but not overtake your week like some binge type dramas that leave a cliff hanger. I can see how this wouldn’t be good for people watching it in one go, as not much really happens or is resolved.

Ellmau · 21/10/2025 19:28

It definitely dragged in the middle, and perhaps they could have condensed it into two or three episodes rather than six.

In retrospect - I was wondering why Caitlin was still called that if she had been adopted within Spain as appeared to be the case from the accent.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/10/2025 21:33

Finally seen (working Sunday night is so annoying 😂😂) so have avoided thread till now

I really enjoyed e6. Live’s the heist and how they did it all and def didn’t see or suspect the twist of Caitlin not being the daughter and robbing them both along with nurse mummy

def set up for s2

hope there is one

Recap e6

https://reelmockery.com/frauds-series-1-finale-episode-6-recap/

the writer didn’t seem impressed by the ending

OP posts:
Ellmau · 23/10/2025 22:58

TBF that reviewer hated it from the start, didn't they?

I liked hapless Bilal, but the whole Deegs et al subplot could have been dispensed with.
