Excited squeak. Been waiting for this as have seen sooooooooo many trailers for it

finally have a date. Starts sun 5 October and will run for 3w on a Sunday and Monday

The full series of six episodes will become available on ITVX on Sunday 5th October, if you binge don’t reply on here lol 😛😛😘😘

The series, which has been created by Jones and her Maryland co-writer Anne-Marie O'Connor, sees Jones play Bert, a conwoman who is released from prison on compassionate grounds, and calls her friend Sam, played by Whittaker, with the offer to team up and pull off the art heist of the century.

The synopsis for the series says: "Bert and Sam embark on the most audacious of art thefts, gathering a talented team of outcasts to help them plan this audacious crime.

"Whilst the team must overcome numerous challenges before they can pull off the heist, it’s the power struggle between Bert and Sam that threatens to derail their plans and destroy them both.

Set against the epic rolling hills of southern Spain and the dark criminal underbelly that casts a shadow over the glistening coast, Frauds is a complex and addictive story of friendship, deception and survival."

The series also stars Elizabeth Berrington, Christian Cooke, Karan Gill and Talisa García.

Jones has most recently been seen starring in Netflix thriller Hostage (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/hostage-netflix-ending-explained/), while she will also appear in Aimee Lou Wood's upcoming romantic comedy-drama Film Club (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/comedy/film-club-bbc-cast-suranne-jones-newsupdate/).

Meanwhile, Whittaker starred in Toxic Town (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/toxic-town-netflix-cast/) earlier this year and returned to Doctor Who (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/sci-fi/doctor-who-season-16-release-date/) for Ncuti Gatwa's final episode.

Her Paramount+ thriller series One Night (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/one-night-itv-release-date-newsupdate/) has also recently arrived on ITV, and she will soon be seen in the BBC's adaptation of acclaimed theatrical production Dear England (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/dear-england-bbc-jodie-whittaker-cast-newsupdate/).

The cast also features Talisa García, known for roles in Baptiste and Blurred, Elizabeth Berrington (Lost Boys an Fairies, Stella) as magician’s assistant Jackie Diamond, Christian Cooke (Rematch, Love, Rosie) as Bradfordian money lender Deeg and Lee Boardman (Enola Holmes, Andor) as Jackie’s mediocre magician husband Craig.

Sure she had a white bag like a money sack that she dropped

OP posts:
the80sweregreat · 06/10/2025 17:52

She dropped the beige version of a Kipling bag that I have full of money when she stopped to be ill.
How did she know that Sam wouid go that way ? How did the person know she would drop the money there ?

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/10/2025 18:25

Maybe the only way to where she lived

the80sweregreat · 06/10/2025 18:32

I’m still confused as to how Sam knew she was coming out when they hadn’t been in contact. Unless that man Sam went to see told her. Which seems to be the case I guess !

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/10/2025 20:24

Good point. Not sure. Unless she’s sent a letter to her tho how would she know where she lives

I'm catching up on ep 1 right now.

Bert is annoying.

Is there supposed to be some sort of repressed sexual tension between them or am I imagining that? 😂

EachandEveryone · 06/10/2025 21:01

I hope it’s not going to be a Thelma and Louise at the end.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/10/2025 21:22

Bert is very annoying. Maybe as she’s gonna die she doesn’t care

OP posts:
the80sweregreat · 06/10/2025 21:27

I imagine a Thelma and Louise type ending too. !
I wonder if Bert is going to set Sam up to go into prison ? Not a spoiler, but she protests too much about ‘ it’s ok, I did time and you didn’t ‘ , I get the impression really does mind a lot.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/10/2025 21:37

i think she minds as well. Well who wouldnt
she got 10yrs.

and maybe why sam says I need to be in charge as doesn’t trust her. Esp if she is going to die

I like the comedy elements in this

BakeOffRewatch · 06/10/2025 22:09

Just finished episode 1. I’m really enjoying it. It’s fun and well acted. It’s interesting. I don’t know what’s going on but not so much that I’m disengaged.

I bet they both end up double crossing each other!

the80sweregreat · 07/10/2025 04:02

The recap for episode two was handy as I fell asleep for a short time and missed a bit. I did laugh at them being Irish nuns and stealing from the funeral.
Why is Bert in touch with the daughter ?

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/10/2025 09:51

I do love a recap and why annoying I can’t find them for the borderline series

beguilingeyes · 09/10/2025 11:35

I was quite bored by the end of episode one and don't think I can be bothered to watch any more.

the80sweregreat · 09/10/2025 13:03

It reminds me of old heist films, Oceans 12 and the ‘ the Italian job’ minus the mini cars.

everyoldsock · 09/10/2025 13:09

It’s all a bit basic, like a lot of ITV crap. This should also have been a three parter bit gone in first six episodes.

the80sweregreat · 09/10/2025 13:47

It’s better than most channel five ones and I like the one who is playing Jackie Diamond. What a name !

Not sure

and how did she find her if adopted via the church

On episode 5. Think it’s gone downhill and finding it a bit meh. Not enjoying the Bert and Sam dynamic. Some serious over-acting going on there. Love the actress playing Julie and the husband and the actor playing Deegs but disappointed in the rest of it. Feel I need to stick with it as got this far but just wanting it to be over now.

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/10/2025 21:18

Remember we have only seen 1&2
