Well that was a series and a half!!!! Fascinating as always. I still think it should be shown in schools so that teens could identify all the shitty behaviour and identify red flags etc!

Thank you for all the chat on here and @PerfectYear321 for the threads. Love getting insights into the bits I've missed or overlooked and other people's perspectives.

This was one of the more interesting LI series.

Sunday 28th September is the expected date for Big Brother to return.

I’m delighted with the result. The decent guy won. My 3 fave girls were the top 3. Harry didn’t get the win. Lovely result all round.

My observations from the final show…

Harry is very quickly getting pissed off with the comments and quips. Including those from Shakira. Helena will offer him an escape. They will get papped sneaking around each other.

Dejon and Meg will try their absolute best to prove us all wrong but will be done and dusted by end of September, citing mental health.

Harrison will dump Lauren within the next 2 weeks and be caught running around with some chick from MAFS/ Towie etc.

Megan and Conor may well last the longest.

Angel and Ty will break up in a few weeks citing the distance between north and south. Then disappear.

I can’t predict Jamie and Yasmin…she’s just too hard to read.

Boris will star in Love Island Slovenia.

Andrada will be back in January for All Stars.

Harrison well definitely dump Lauren, if he hasn't already.
She had such a sour puss on her last night, every time the camera panned past she looked miserable 😞

Am delighted that Toni and Cach won, although I'm not sure they'll see out the year. Too long-distance...... Toni could well end up on the US Love Island!

The funniest, and best, part of last night's show was Tommy saying he cheated on Lucy (?) and Andrada announced it was the same girl that Ben kissed - the two of them were at the same party and couldn't resist - Idiots 😆🤣
Completely unscripted, Maya didn't know what to do! I think she told Ben (or maybe Tommy?) at one stage... we don't have all night for this story...

I’m screen-shotting your post, @CagneyNYPD1 - and will re-read it in a month. I suspect you may be right on all counts.

For years and years I turned up my nose at LI, and it went precipitously downhill the season I started watching. But this year has been fascinating! (If somewhat over-produced.) I don’t know if I’m more happy that Cach won, or just relieved that Harry didn’t.

And I hope Helena finds some … peace. Somewhere.

Also delighted to see Indiyah Polack turning into a superstar.

Maya’s outfits this year have been mostly rubbish. I read an interview with her recently where she actually said one thing she’s learnt from long experience is that small patterns and prints don’t play well on screen - which I took as a dig at this season’s stylists.

It was refreshing that for once they admitted they didn’t last past one public appearance with unlimited booze to remain true to who they left with.

Normally they pretend to be in a devoted couple for weeks and so good fof them admitting what actually happens.

Not that keen on Toni winning but it’s not like any of the couples had two good options.
Tommy’s personality has come across so much better outside, it’s so weird what they choose to show and what they don’t.

Yes, I think it was when Tommy was saying... well I was drinking unlimited Blue (cocktail??)... blah... blah... then Maya jumped in to say we're live and don't have all night for this story - something like that anyway, it made me laugh so much 😆

I must admit I wasn’t too keen on Maya’s presenting skills when she first started as thought she was very stilted but now she is much more natural and fun. Stunningly beautiful too of course.

Maya is perfect in the role - warm, funny, natural with the contestants (or can at least pretend to be) and bloody gorgeous. I still have trauma flashbacks to Laura W, who was inferior in every way.

I like Maya presenting LI, far better than Laura W who has a “cold fish” presenting style.

Both DD and I have noticed that Maya’s look, especially her dresses, have less revealing this year. I think it’s a subtle shift in her style since she’s been in a relationship with Reuben Diaz.

I kept eye rolling whenever Shakira said “Maya” when she was talking to her…….

I feel like Maya's dresses are often the wrong shape for her, with a tendency towards a dropped waist, which is a dated look and also doesn't do her justice. She's so gorgeous she'd look great in a bin bag, but her clothes could be much better.

For me it’s the Tik Tok wars of it all ( Gen X here)

I read today on some gossip site Conor and Megan have already split up. Apparently he put a post on his Instagram thanking everyone (except her) for his LI experience???

Love Island spin-off with islanders from UK and international editions. They compete in teams and try to form connections. It's a bit of nonsense. Maura hosted the series last time.
